Yup, you saw that right. :furious: :furious: I was at Typhoon Lagoon today. While I was in the wave pool for no more than 5 minutes someone stole my mug.

That's pretty bad when someone has to steal a mug. :sad2: :sad2:

I would love to hear their reason why they took my mug. No excuse as far as I am concerned.

Sorry that happened to you Safetymom. I noticed during my visits to the waterparks that the rented floats are sometimes taken from people who leave them unattended to maybe hit the bathroom, or grab a snack. Perhaps there is a sense of "entitlement" causing people to help themselves. Stealing anything, including a mug, is reaching a new low.

Wow. Sometimes people surprise me. One time when I was at the zoo I took my daughters into the butterfly house leaving our little tikes wagon outside with sippy cups in the cup holders and our lunch on the floor. When we came out a woman was saying "hurry up, get in" to her two boys. I ran up to her and told her that was our wagon. She didn't even look at me. She just pulled her sons out and walked away. No, she did not go to another wagon. She just walked away. She couldn't even use the excuse that she confused our wagon with hers. When things like this happen it's hard to shake. It really makes me sad to think people care so little about others.

Last May I went on a daughter and dad only trip for the first time I dropped my digital camrea on the monorail on the second to last day of our trip. It wasnt more than 3minutes that I relized what I had done i raced back to tell the CM. They were so nice looked they looked on all the trains Radioed to the other station for them to look but it was no use someone had taken my camera. It wasn't the camera i cared about it was all the pictures i had lost. On a good note for christmas this year I am giving my dad a trip with me to disney in May to recreate some of the lost pics

Obviously somebody didn't want to have to pay for drinks/souvenirs!

I wonder if it was one of the people who sell FPs...

And they'll probably take it to Blizzard Beach and use it!

Oh...that was your mug! Sorry, I was just sooooo thirsty (and cheap!). ;)

That is kinda sad. I've been to Disney about 6 times in the past decade, and each time I've never once used lockers, etc. I've gone on rides and left the camera, video camera bags in the stroller without incident. Not putting anyone down or anything, but to me, Disney attracts a different group of people as compared, say your local seasonal carnival. One of the things I've always enjoyed about disney was the sense of security with stuff like this. Sad when it starts to go away....

Ok thats it, Im writing on my mug "Please dont take, I have ___________" Not sure what disease I will fill in there but I will make sure its something contagious.

Someone stole my mom's HCOE Mickey antenna topper in the MK parking lot yesterday. There are thieves everywhere. :sad2:

We had our then four year old son at a park when I saw him slurping on a drink. I hadn't bought it and my wife said that she didn't either. We asked him where he got it and he said "Next to that ride over there." Ugh! Maybe some thirsty kid picked up your mug? :confused3

no offense to you, but eew! Who would pick up a random mug? "ooh, ground mug!"
You have no idea of where that mug (or person) has been!?!
I'm hoping it's what BriarRabbit said, and it was a little kid that didn't know better...blech

I believe it! That's why I always take along a bike chain/lock with me to the water parks. The only thing worth stealing from my stuff is my mug, and it would be so easy for someone to swoop it up, as was your case. I know I look like a paranoid dork when I slide the plastic covered chain through the handle and lock it to the chair, but after reading this thread, I feel validated. I am so sorry this happened to you, Safetymom, that is just enough of a bad feeling to put a damper on a great day...

That is exactly what I was thinking--no offense to you Safetymom :crazy2:

I just don't understand, if your going to WDW then save a few dollars more for the trip so you can buy your own mug!

I agree with others, maybe someone confused your stuff with theirs. If not, I guess you can just think that if someone needed it bad enough to steal it, then you helped them out. People never cease to amaze me!

I'd love to think it was an accident, but having had my 35mm stolen on one trip and my video camera on another, I don't put anything past some people. It's a shame that people think they can get something for nothing.

Karma. That's all I can say. Karma.
