Someone please suggest a hotel near univ stud hollywood

for a mom traveling alone with her 10 year old daughter. I've all but decided to go to the studios before going over to disney because I want to get to universal around 8:30 in the morning, to maximize my chances of getting a front of the line pass at the gate. and the tour buses from anaheim don't get to universal studios until 10 or 10:30. I'm told by then the fol passes at the gate will be sold out by then.

so. very,very nice and secure but with a light-hearted, family atmosphere. money not really an object.

I would definitely go with one of the Universal hotels right by the park -- that would be the most convenient and the safest. There is a Sheraton and a Hilton Hotel both very close to Universal Studios in Universal City.

how are you getting to burbank? not very close to universal--would need taxi or some form of transport---
