someone please help me!

i am going to go bald! i get to the black load in screen and an error message comes up. " the necessary Xtra (text) file does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Make sure Xtra files are in the Xtra folders" I have deducted that this is from Macromedia shockwave but i am not getting any help from them. Can anyone tell me what to do. I am having VMK withdrawal.

i download shockwave but it just keeps reloading over and over and over. Sometimes i can get in, sometimes not.
Plz plz plz someone tell me what to do!

Oh how I feel for you! Sorry that I am not tech savy enough to help, but wanted to show you moral support until the answer to your horrible problem comes along. VMK withdrawl is a terrible condition!

Not the resident board Techie that would be Aeryn but I will try and help.

First uninstall shockwave and flash.

also deleted all temp files, cookies and history.

then reboot your computer.


Now redownload flash and shockwave.

Make sure your browser is set to allow for cookies and that VMK is not blocked from access.


then post if it worked if not we will try again.

Well if you have a pop-up-blocker or a firewall make sure that it is allowed to be runed and not blocked. With the pop-up blocker I had to turn it off for some reason because it wasn't allowing VMK to run. I don't know... i'm not good in business class(73%)

Mal may not be the 'resident' techie But she's given exactly the advice I was going to give. In addition, I would make sure that if you have a pop up blocker it is set to allow popups from disney & vmk, as Azure has mentioned.

If doing the above doesn't work, then we'll try another tactic.
