Someone please explain "DEAL"?!?!

So . . . I'm checking the "buy 4 days and get 3 free" super-special, and I must be really bad at math or something!! The package deal staying at a moderate resort is $1,840 (not even including tax, I'm sure) - 7 nights and 7 days of MYW+hopper, right? But, if I bought my 7-day tickets thru ticketmania (or other) for $283 adult/$247 child - a family of four would cost $1,060 - just in tickets. That leaves almost $800 for hotel! 7 nights in a moderate would be more - but not THAT much. Where's the big-crazy savings?? Some math genius straighten me out, please.

So thats about $115/night for a moderate resort which depending on what season you were in could be up to $200/night (peak season). Youre also comparing a discounted ticket price....

I priced out 7 nights for 2 adults and 2 children standard room at a moderate with 7 hoppers in early feb for only $1746 including tax AND you get a $200 giftcard... So its like youre paying $1060 for tickets and getting the room for $486 or roughly $69/night.

FYI room only comes to $1173 so with this offer youre saving apprx. $627 or so. Enjoy!

I'm an AP holder, so tickets really mean nothing to me. I took the deal (if a better AP rate doesn't come out, I have something) with 1 day base tickets. I'm saving (in June, no gift card) a little over $1000 at the Poly.

Same situation here. AP holder, but still saving $680.58 on 8 nights at CBR. I don't know if an AP rate will beat that, but you never know.

How much you save with purchasing tickets on your own vs. doing a package? A base 7day Adult ticket is $228 + tax, child $193 + tax. Water or Hopper is another $50 each.

A MYW package gives you a couple of coupons and sometimes a 5x7...

With the 4/3 package you save:

* last 3 days of your hotel (based on rack rate) About $450
* whatever would be to add 3 days to a 4 day base ticket (about $20)

If you go before end of march, then you also get a $200 GC

I did the math and by using the 4/3 deal, I am saving approx. $650 on our 8 night stay at POR with new Quick Service Dining and Water Parks. I'll take it!
