A related piece of advice: if your whole family comes including the late-comers, do not overplan! Put together a few meals where everyone attends, and let folks do the resorts and parks on their own schedules. Natural groupings will come and go comfortably (if they don't then it's not your fault) as the trip evolves. But if you try to move that whole group from place to place together, everyone will be miserable and everything will get blown up by one person with a slow hair-dryer or a tendency to sleep in.

Bumbershoot-They WANT to stay where we are. They offered to stay elsewhere because they know how difficult it is to get now that they waited so long. They have agreed to take the 1 bedroom if the 2 bedroom doesn't come through. Grandparents agreed to take 2 of the kids in their room. I want them to have their own space but they would rather us all be together.

I'm just happy I get to keep concierge and AKV.

We've always travelled with family and friends with no problems. Wonderful memories. I want to stress no one is making us change these reservations. No one is making us feel obligated. They have been very respectful to our situation for their lack of notice. My in laws didn't approach or ask us. WE asked Step Brother and family to come in Jan. They just took 4 months to let us know. To normal people 6 months to plan a vacation is normal. For DVCers it is not. . That bing said I just want to make everyone happy and comfortable. I was a little bummed about possibly losing concierge but there is always next time. Right now we are waiting to see if waitlist will come through. Thank you for all great ideas.

As for meals I gave them my list and ask which ones they want to come with us. If not no big deal. There will be many times we are not together because they have girls and we have boys. No princess stuff for us

That sounds like a promising trip, you're lucky (as we are) that you have a good group to travel with.
