We rent scooters all the timed and love them. We do not have any disabilities. We just like renting them. They are fun, functional when we are tired or our son is tired at the end of the night etc... We drive carefully and respectfully and see nothing wrong with them. We switch off depending on who is tired etc... no big deal. I see more and more people who are not disabled renting them. It really helps with families with little ones who are too old for strollers but still young enough that they need to be carried when they are passing out on the walk back to the hotel. Carrying 50 pounds of dead weight when you are tired yourself is a nightmare.
Any way, if we are gonna talk about people who drive carelessly on scooters, then we should add the stroller crowd to that. I have gotten my feet run over so many times I cant even count by strollers, causing cuts and bleeding on my feet at times. And most of the time, I dont even get a sorry. So you cant just pick on us scooter people....
