Somebody at the Travel Channel has a seriously warped mind

i was channel surfing and found that the travel channel is running several back to back episodes of a show called "holiday hostage hell". it's basicly about good people who traveled to their dream vacation destinations only to become capitives of terrorists, pirates, drug runners, rebels or theives.

if that's not odd enough programming for a channel dedicated to extolling the virtues of travel they've made it even odder by populating the commercials that run during it with cruiselines, international travel brokers and travelocity ads that show that stupid gnome traveling in some of the very destinations these hostage hells took place

I guess it's the same theory about why accident scenes are so popular. every one wants to see one but no one wants to be in one.

I can't believe I haven't seen that show yet, it sounds like something DH and I would watched I'm going to search for it right now

haha! I walked out in the family room and DH was watching it. I thought, they have a show called this? so many of these incidents have occured it's like a weekly show? strange.... DH didn't watch the whole thing. The holiday hostage drama didn't hold his interest I guess....

I saw it on the guide and thought, What the heck were they thinking? I agree with you--extremely odd programing choice.
