What is the Christmas store like? Haven't taken the time to go in there yet.

We won't be doing HH but outside of that, are the parks decorated for Halloween?

Will Jaws souvenirs be available even though it's closed?

I know this is a long shot, but is there any way that you can visit one of the resorts and use the pool if not staying on property...like pay for an afternoon pass or get a visitor's pass with your AP or something?
(The purpose of the trip is to visit and babysit our elderly grandpa so we can't stay overnight on site, but 5 yr old ds loves to swim, and it would be so great if we could do the parks in the morning, and get a snack at the pool and swim for an hour or two before heading back to boring, hot & stuffy, Ft. Knox with blaring news channels on the tv and something smelly cooking on the stove, LOL)

What is Wet-N-Wild like? Is there anything relaxing about it, LOL?
Is it an all day park, or is it worth it to go for just a few hours?

Has anyone visited the Titanic Exhibit? Is it easy to get to from the parks?

Thanks a bunch for any suggestions!!!!

I thought there was a sign at RPR about the pool being exclusive use of the guests. I don't think a Universal AP will get you anything besides a AP rate at thier hotel!

Remember there is the Curious George Playland area where kids can get really wet. The dinosaur playland and If I ran the zoo are wet areas in IOA.

Christmas shop, poked my head in there, and they had ornaments and decorative items.. didn't spend much time in the store, but was nice.

That's what I figured...please don't anyone get me wrong, I wasn't going to sneak or anything, just wondering if I asked at the front desk, if they might let me pay a fee.

Thanks for all the info!

The Christmas store is very nice. You can buy stockings with Spiderman, Dora, Spongebob, Blue's Clues and other on them. They have Christmas decorations with Fairly Oddparents, Hulk, Spongebob, Betty Boop and many others.

There are decorations up for HHN so you will see some Halloween decorations.

I think some of the shops around Jaws are going to be closed too, and since Jaws souvinears are mostly on a cart near the exit of the ride, that will probably be closed too.

The pools are for resort guests only, but you can probably get a good rate on a night stay since it is a slow time of year.

Wet and Wild is the best water park in Orlando according to everyone I have spoke to. They definately have alot more rides than any other water park. You can probably spend the whole day there of you are into water rides. However, I don't think going to a water park is going to be relaxing, esp. with a small child.

Titanic- The experience is about 10 mins from Universal and it very easy to find on International drive. It is worth catching, I went last month for the first time and loved it.

Perfect, I was hoping for some different character ornaments.

Ds will be so excited!

That's a bummer, dh wants a beach towel, the one that looks like the movie poster, but you're right, I remember the cart now, so the icecream shop and the seafood takeout might close too?

We can get the GA resident rate, but we just can't leave Gramps alone for that long. I swear, one of these times I'll get to stay on-sight, LOL.

However, I don't think going to a water park is going to be relaxing, esp. with a small child.

LOL, I agree, hence the resort pool question...maybe I can make friends with someone with a pool in Gramp's neighborhood, LOL.

Hoping to sneak off to see it by myself one morning. Sounds great!

Trying to make it a little fun, thanks for your help!
