Some truths I discovered while camping last week.

Sounds wonderful I have fond memories of my father singing "Ghost riders in the Sky" while we roasted marshmellows around a roaring campfire in the cold night air of the Colorado mountains as a kid. Thanks for reminding me of those good times

Camping really does have a friendly atmosphere. DS10 and I just spent 3 nights/4 days (visitor checkin and late stay) camping in Maine. We met a DISer- hi Michelle. When they had to leave DS met up with 2 other groups of kids.
Unlike a hotel where everyone goes in their rooms at night, at the campgrounds everyone has fires together/tells ghost stories, etc.
We have 1 more mini-vaca at hotel (this time with DH) and 1 more mini-vaca camping planned before summer is over.
