Some things to do at WDW 8/18-26

Perhaps you will not be attending the Disneyana Event this year but, hopefully many of you will be in the WDW area around that time (August 18-26). We would like to make sure that everyone knows that we have some "Events" of our own planned before the Official Disneyana Mystery begins.

To start with...............Sunday, August 18th. Dinner at 5PM at Boma's (Animal Kingdom Lodge). Boma's is a buffet style dinner featuring African food. I believe the cost of the dinner is around $21 and includes a non-acholic beverage. Everyone will be on their own in paying for dinner.
Following dinner we will have a Pin Meet in the Lobby at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you think you will be able to make it please email me so that I can include you in the reservation for dinner. Mary (Frzn4@aol.com)

Monday, August 19th..............Cirque deSolie (LaNouba). Tickets will be approximately $75 and arrangements are being made by Shari Koss. Please email her to be included in the reservation. Tuesday, August 20th.............Due to a lack of interest/commitment in the Private Illuminations Viewing it has been decided that we will try an illuminations cruise. Please contact Chris O'Sullivan if you think you may be interested. (SgtSlovak@aol.com)

Wednesday, ..........August 21 - An outing to Pleasure Island is being planned. The focus being aimed at the Comedy Warehouse (early preformance) followed by the Adventurer's Club (KONGALOOSH). After an evening of side splitting comedy I hope we will all be able to get up to register for the Mystery on Thursday morning. This "Event" is being planned by Chirs and Janet O'Sullivan and they can be reached at SgtSlovak@aol.com.

I am waiting to hear from Event services about an approximate itinerary for the Villains Animation Event. Once I get an Idea of what is happening when I would love to join in on some of these. I'm pretty sure Dinner at Boma's is out though.

Dom, so happy to hear that you will probably be joining us for dinner. If you haven't eaten at Boma's before you are in for a treat. Of course the Pin Meet will also be an event not to be missed.

Please note that there is an update regarding Cirque du Soleil. There are still good seats left if you are interested. The price is actually better than expected due to a new discount being offered to WDW annual passholders. "A lot of perks come with being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder - like getting 25% off the regular price of admission to the Walt Disney World exclusive Cirque du Soleil show, LaNouba. The discount applies to most performances through September 30, 2002 (excluding 5/28-6/12, 7/22-25 and 9/9-9/12)! This exciting offer is valid for you and one Guest for the 6:00 and 9:00 PM performances."

So, the cost goes from $71.02 to $53.27 because of this deal. If you would like to go and don't have a pass, NOT TO WORRY! There are plenty of people who have passes and I'm happy to make it happen for everyone! We will be seeing the 6:00 pm show on Monday, August 19. So send me an e-mail if you are interested.
