I have seen the rental for the double stroller but wasnt sure if that would accomodate a 6 mo old as far as support and such?

Also hoping not to have to travel with an infant car seat thru the airport, and although the DW is against renting a car seat figured I'd ask my disney faithful of carseat rentals theyve had for infants in the same boat

thanks everyone!

I would definitely bring a stroller if you can...the Disney ones are not meant for babies. You can probably buy a double umbrella stroller for a good price online or on craigslist if you are looking to save money. I think the double Jeep umbrella retails for about 100.00. (Or did about two years ago). It would probably cost you more than that to rent every day anyway.

As for carseats, you can check them with your bags if you aren't looking to bring it on the plane. I would just make sure they put it in a bag so that it doesn't get too banged up. We've done that many times, and then you have it for your car rental when you get there.

Good luck!

Are you talking about renting the double that Disney offers? I wouldn't use that one for a 6 month old. It is made of hard plastic with no recline and no cushion.

Your baby should be riding in her car seat on the plane, just like she does in the car. Yes, it is another seat to pay for, but if something were to happen on your flight, she would be protected by her seat. So unfortunately, you still need to bring her infant seat even if you're only using it on the plane. HTH!

I was referring more to the Orlando rentals who seem to have some really good options of the double and single and stand n sit, just didnt know if they were conducive to infants?

Definitely wouldnt go with the beige or blue monsters that Disney rents those things are huge! and dont fold or anything plus ive heard all about the stories of people grabbing em and turning em in for the deposit money

The stroller rentals for OSR and ABBF have the strollers that recline that is good for 6 month olds. The Disney ones do not recline.

As for carseats, call the company to make sure none of the seats are expired or have been in an accident. I personally wouldn't drag my carseats down with me just because I don't want them getting bounced around more than necessary or having any hidden cracks in the plastic from being jarred around/tossed around in the baggage area.

I've never used Orlando rentals, but I know that those sit and stands work for babies. I know several people that bought those as their regular stroller when they had babies.

I think, in general, if it's a jogger or double umbrella stroller, then they consider it infant friendly if it has the five point harness on it. Not sure if that helps.

I'm not sure if you know this, so I'll just mention it. We always bring our own stroller as well, and then gate check it right before we board the plane. It's handy to have it when getting to the gate so that we we have some hands free for the carry-ons. It's the last thing you do right before you board, and the stroller is sitting there on the gateway when you get off,

My wife had mentioned that just a little while ago as well and I completely forgot, thats why i love these for all the great feedback from everyone and whats worked and not worked for them!:thumbsup2

On www.schnoop.com today is an awesome stroller! We bought an older version if it for our little guy when we went to WDW when he was 5 months old and it was well worth the price! We bought a stroller bag and used it for the flight, it protected it and it was much cheaper then renting!
Only $69.95 with free shipping!

What do you get when you cross brains and beauty? Why, the narcissistic writer at shnoop.com, of course. But what do you do if you're convinced, like we are, that your little bundle of joy fits the bill as well? Perhaps your resplendent progeny is not yet ready for a promising career at shnoop, you can certainly outfit the little one with the finer joys of life, namely, the feeling of being pushed around in a stroller-like caddy by his/her favorite sugar daddy. A stylish and ultra-lightweight stroller suitable from 6 months all the way through to toddler, the Silver Cross Fizz does just that. It takes a fresh, modern look at bringing up a child. Researched on the streets of the world’s style capitals: London, Paris, Tokyo and New York, Silver Cross has created a unique stroller that answers all the problems faced by modern, urban parents.

Available in Eclipse color, the Silver Cross Fizz is an ultra lightweight, stylish compact stroller that provides great comfort for your baby or toddler. It's suitable from the age of six months. An ideal choice for a day-to-day usage and holidays. Fizz is the ultra-lightweight stroller from Silver Cross and is one of the very few in it's class to feature a reclining seat back and reversible seat pad to suit your mood. The best feature is the removable and reversible seat pad. Not only does this make it easy to clean off the inevitable stockpile of squashed raisins, but your little one is also able to sit directly on the ventilated mesh seat - great during hotter weather.

Despite being so lightweight, the Silver Cross Fizz feels sturdy and robust. The size and swivel of the wheels combined with the position of the handles make it ergonomic to push and you don’t feel shudders up your arm. It also easy to maneuver. It has a discrete pouch in the pushchair hood, because it’s big enough to hold your essentials such as purse, keys and phone, but is not an obvious pocket enabling others to spot your valuables. For the amount of functionality it provides, the Fizz on Shnoop will be the best bang for your buck.

Fizz also features a large shopping basket, a multi-positional cup/bottle holder and an extremely useful carry strap. The ultra-lightweight chassis folds easily, and features our patented 'non finger trap' folding system to keep little fingers safe.

Basicly, the Silver Cross Fizz is an attractive, stylish, super lightweight stroller that’s easy to maneuver, fold and store away. The Fizz is comfortable for your little one as well as the person doing the pushing and comes with a number of useful features.
