Some sort of a refrigerator issue at DL and Mod resorts?

I saw a posting on Facebook by a reputable Disney forum moderator who said there was some sort of a refrigerator issue at Deluxe and Moderate resorts. He stated that Disney removed all refrigerators out of rooms in order to resolve some sort of compressor issue.

If you are a guest who recently departed from a resort in the Moderate and Deluxe category, please advise what the status is.

We're staying at the polynesian, and yes our refrigerator has been unplugged and will be for the remainder if our visit

If there is a medical need, note it on your reservation and you will be able to get a fridge.

From what I've read they are providing mini-fridges on a first come, first served request basis. If you need one to store medications such as insulin, etc. I would call and have them note that on your reservation. It won't guarantee that you'll get one but it can't hurt to have it on the ressie.
