My DM and I are planning our second annual DM&DD trip this May and we're thinking about trying the Spa at SSR.

For those that have gone, what did you have done and what did you think?

Are there any therapists you would recommend?

Also, what is the DVC discount?

Thanks!

I just went to the Spa about a week ago. First of all, the DVC discount is only valid for certain treatments. The discount is valid for:

50 minute Swedish massage ($108 member cost)

Mystical Forest Therapies ($121.50 member cost)

Aromatherapy Facial ($117 member cost)

Mystical Forest Body Masque & Wrap ($117 member cost)

Hydro-Massage Therapies ($103.5 member cost)

Spa Manicure ($49.5 member cost)

Spa Pedicure ($58.50 member cost)

Peppermint Pedicure ($58.50 member cost)

I of course did 2 things not on the discount list. :rotfl: I did the Adirondack stone massage plus the deluxe facial. I thought both of these treatments were awesome and it was a very relaxing afternoon for me.

I've had a manicure, the Foot & Leg treatment, and the Mystic Forest massage.
I'm not completely sure about the last one but it had forest in the name somewhere. Everything is always AWESOME. They are so nice there and even though it's pricey it's such a treat. Have a blast and relax! :goodvibes

I love the SSR spa. :goodvibes

I've done the Mystical Forest Therapies twice, shiatsu, and reflexology. I really want to try one of the hydro therapies next time.

I highly recommend the Mystical Forest moisturizer that they sell at the spa. I'm almost out and that is one of my motivations for planning a trip back there. ;)

I did the hydro massage therapy and it was amazing. I was wiped out afterwards..so dont plan on doing anything but sleeping after.

I have had the hot stone massage and the mystical forest (or something) massage.

My fave in order was the hydro, the hot stone then the mystical

The spa is one of if not the nicest spa I have been to.

enjoy

Thanks for the comments, everyone! Sounds like we'd have a relaxing time...now I just have to decide what to have done! :)

I did the facial and massage. You also get a discount on products I believe, I bought one of the shower gels and I thought they gave me a discount.

It was very relaxing and a great spa. I actually thought it was better than one at Swan/Dolphin.

Hmm.....These all sound so good I might have to check it out in January! :magnify:

I treated my 18 year old DD to a pedicure last summer. It was amazing! We were put in a room with two pedicure chairs so we were together. It was so relaxing after walking the parks in the hot crowded summer. I dont remember any names but all of the spa employees were nice. Our polish lasted weeks after we returned home and we still talk about doing it again.
