Grand Floridian Cafe Lunch/Brunch Sunday- After all I had been hearing about this restaurant I was curious and it was a huge letdown. They were 30 minutes behind on our reservation time, then when we were seated it was 10 minutes until we had any service. The service was rushed and then the food took almost 45 minutes after we ordered. It came out and was average at best. On a 1-10 scale I would struggle to give this location a 5. Wont be going back here anytime soon and thats too bad because with Kona going down the tubes, the monorail resorts now lack a laid back casual restaurant worth going to. Top level restaurants, Narcoosees, Cali Grille, Wave, Citricos...ALL worth it, but the lack of a more casual dining location that is sit down and not a character meal is disappointing. For the price with TIW, GFC is still not worth it to me. 5/10
French Quarter Food Court- Late dinner/Snack- Food was well prepared, courteous and friendly cast members, prices were good and they take TIW. MIght be one of the better food courts for options and quality at a counter service facility. 7/10 just because it is fast food for the most part and thats about as high as I can go for counter service.
Beaches and Cream Lunch- I have been here many times before and the food is always solid. I dont waste a lot of time on the desserts because Ample Hills is at Boardwalk and if I want ice cream I can go there. We were there at opening, seated at the counter and I can easily say, worst experience at B&C ever. Food was below average and for the price, I can get better food at Waffle House. Service was rushed and seemed more like Waffle House move you along. Ill give it a try again because maybe with the holidays it was just an off day, but for this day...Even with TIW...6/10
Il Mulino- My 3rd time at Mulino and I must say, From service to atmosphere to food quality..One of the best restaurants on property. I have not found an issue with anything at this restaurant on ANY visit And on this visit, we had a table of 7 and they dropped my fiances veal chop in the kitchen. The manager came out, offered her a salad and another glass of wine while she waited for her food since everyone else was served, and then removed the charges for anything she ate or drank off the bill as an apology. Even had they not done that, the fact the manager came out and spoke with us showed me its a place that cares about its guests. The chef actually brought her plate out when it was done and apologized as well. Im putting this restaurant in my top 5 on property restaurants at WDW. 10/10
Skipper Canteen- Lunch- This restaurant is a welcome getaway in MK. While MK had decent counter service options, their table service offerings leave a lot to be desired. This place is the exception to the rule. Great service, quiet out of the way atmosphere, quality ( and for MK very adventurous and well flavored foods), and a nice place to get out of the park madness. No complaints and I have been here several times now. Best sit down in MK. 8/10
