Some questions for those who have stayed at Bonnet Creek

We are Wyndham owners, but haven't yet stayed at Bonnet Creek, which we'll be doing this year in December. We are relatively new owners and have only stayed at the Wyndham resort in Las Vegas where the transportation was a breeze. But that was only to and from the Strip, which is not nearly as expansive as the Disney property! We may be renting a car, but I'm still curious about a few things.

Do they have a grocery time set up? In LV, we could sign up for a morning that the shuttle would take us to the grocery store and give you 30 minutes to shop. Do they do this here also?

How often do the shuttles run to and from the parks? Did you use this service or was it easier to simply rent a car and get around yourself? And are the shuttles only to Disney parks or the Universal parks also? We are planning a couple of days at Universal/Islands of Adventure on our trip.

Thanks in advance for any info you can give us! :wizard:

We are at Bonnet Creek right now, I have their schedule in front of me. I don't see a grocery store on here, but there is a shuttle to Orlando Premium outlets for $10 (don't know if there is a grocery there), and Universal for $14(per person). The Disney shuttles are free and run about every half hour in the morning - more spread out in the afternoon. We have always rented a car, this place doesn't have anything within walking distance. There is a small store in the lobby area if you only need a few things. If you pm me your address, I'd be happy to mail you this schedule when we return home on Monday.

There is a Publix in the same area as the Orlando Premium Outlets (across the street) but I don't know how convenient that would be :rolleyes1

Its a pretty good hike to the Publix from the outlet area. Then you'd have to hike back to the outlets in order to catch the shuttle back to BC.....carrying all your grocery bags. What about a service like GardenGrocer.com?

I'm looking into that also, but I'm pretty sure regardless, we'll have a car of some sort. Either my parents will drive down and meet us there, or we'll all fly and rent a car. So getting to the grocery won't be an issue, I just wondered if the resort in Florida offered this service the same at the one in Las Vegas. Thanks for the info!
