we reserved loop 1400 for our first trip end Oct/beg Nov and of course have some questions. We are new to RVing as well, pickin up our 24' TT tomorrow!! Sooo exciting :)

Some questions are:
- are sites on 1400 roomy
- how far of a walk to dock for boat
- how do you make a reserv for carriage ride
- might be brining lil dog with us, can you book pets in a day or two at the kennel for "play"

That's all off the top of my head, thanks so much!

The 1400 loop is a Premium loop, which is an upgrade the Disney started on in the past 2 years to provide a larger pad, but the normal sandy area to the side & rear is now gone.

- how far of a walk to dock for boat
It is a pretty far walk, but you can do it. It would be better to take the 'Settlement Yellow' bus from you bus stop to the Settlement Depot

Here is a fact sheet that might help you - http://allears.net/acc/faq_fw.htm

The 1400 loop is great with close access to the Meadow Recreation area with the night program and the swimming pool, not to mention the Meadow Trading Post.

Enjoy your stay & welcome.

Please note that you can only request a loop. It isn't guaranteed that you will get it.

We always bring out dogs with us, but have never used the kennels. We just come back to the motorhome a couple times a day and walk them, play with them, etc. We come back to eat anyway, so it's not a problem.

The walk isn't too bad, but I like to walk. You can take the bus or bring bikes. We always bring our bikes and very seldom use the buses. That's just our personal preference.

You will have a great time. We will be there in August and hopefully in December.

Have fun.pluto:

Very nice lookin coach.
How come MHs are named after our dogs. We didn't name ours, but the neighbors did. They call it the "Buddymobile", after our silky terrier Buddy. The thing is, he hates it. When we're at a site, he tries to get as far away as possible.

Not sure how it will work when the new kennel opens up (no ETA on that yet), but IIRC right now they don't necessarily provide "play time" at the Disney kennels. I *think* you can pay extra to have your dog walked by the staff (not 100% sure there), and you can always go visit/play with/walk the dog yourself, but it's definitely not like "doggie day care".

ETA: Oh, and if you're going during a busy time, you might want to call the kennels for reservations ahead of time. I know over the crazy Christmas break time they were completely full at one point and not accepting walk ins.
