Booked this tour for my sisters and myself for our trip in April - very excited...a couple of questions...

Does the tour end where it starts at Town Square Theater, or elsewhere?
The description says 3 hours - has that been people's experience?
Feel free to share any recent reviews or experiences - I don't mind spoilers

I'm asking about the timing, as I may try to move our tour to our other MK day, however that throws off lunch - we have lunch ADR at the Plaza for 11:15, and that seems a little tight. Does that sound feasible? I haven't been able to push the ADR to later - I could change the lunch to someplace else, but I've been wanting to try the Plaza...

Any feedback is appreciated - thanks! pooh:

Ours ended in Tomorrowland, after COP. I seem to remember it running right about on time. It's a good tour, I enjoyed it. Lots of neat info on HM and COP.
Thanks - good to know it ends in Tomorrowland! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

We loved this tour, we learned so much about Walt, his vision, dreams, and his ability to get things done. The tour ends at CoP in tomorrow land, we started at 8:30 and we were done at 11:30. I actually enjoyed this tour a little bit more that the keys to the kingdom tour. I highly recommend it. Our tour guide was so good, her father worked for Walt as an Imagineer and she met Walt at Disneyland many times. She told us she knew back then she wanted to work for Walt and has worked at WDW since 1977! So good!

Wow! That's amazing, @disneyAndi14 ! She must have been an unbelievable tour guide! We're all really interested in his story, so I think we're going to love it! And my sister LOVES Haunted Mansion (as do I), but she doesn't know any specifics about the tour. When I called tonight, they told me it started at 8...hmm...

This tour is great. I have taken many tours at WDW, several multiple times. We ended up by Carousel of Progress also. I was the only one on this tour, so like a private VIP tour. Excellent tour guide. Don't forget the discounts...AP< DVC or Disney VIsa, all 15%.

My roommate and I did this tour in December, and LOVED it! We started at 8am at Town Square Theater and finished just a few minutes after 11am at Carousel of Progress. Our tour guide was Anibal, and he was awesome! So knowledgeable and you could just really tell he loves what he does! The tour was my Christmas present to my roomie, because she LOVES Haunted Mansion so I didn't tell her anything before we got there. I wouldn't even tell her what we were doing at the park so early so that she couldn't google it. And it was perfect! She was so surprised! And since there's a bathroom break between the main Haunted Mansion tour and the *ahem* "other Haunted Mansion tour", she about lost her mind when she found out we weren't quite done with the Mansion. So if you can keep it secret, go for it! It will be such an amazing experience!

We actually had the exact same plans as you. We had an 11:15am lunch ADR at The Plaza, and we were right on time. So if you don't find a later time, don't sweat it! You'll be fine!

We did this tour in September. I don't remember our tour guides name but she was very knowledgeable. If you are taking a resort bus, keep in mind that they don't runs as often. We should have left the hotel for the bus stop by 7 but left at 7:15 and the board said the next MK bus was due to arrive at 7:45. We ended up taking a cab to the contemporary and walked to MK. Also the line to get into MK is to the left and is very long as everyone is waiting to get there for their 8 o'clock ADR. So allow yourself plenty of time.

I am scheduled for this tour in March. Do I need to take my conformation number somewhere for tickets before heading over to Town Square Theater?

Research must have shown them that people were eating one meal onsite, then leaving the parks and eating offsite for the other. This would commit them to both meals in the park before they got hot, tired, cranky and spent so much they wanted to just get something off the McDonald's value menu on the way home.

We took this tour in September and absolutely loved it! We live a couple hours away from Marceline, MO and have visited the Disney sites there so this had a particular interest to me. The amount of history and tidbits shared on the Marceline to MK tour is wonderful. I learned so much even though I've been going to Disney for many years. We had Darlene, possibly the CM mentioned by disneyAndi14, and her story was so very cool. I visited Disneyland several times during the years she was there so very much appreciated her comments. IASW was closed when we took the tour (much to my DH's delight :)) so we rode Winnie the Pooh - not one of my faves but with her background info I enjoyed it more than usual. It was truly a great three hours of behind the scenes and interesting stories and facts about Walt, the Imagineers, and DL and WDW. I would do it again for sure. One of my favorite things I have ever done at WDW. Hope you have a magical time and enjoy the tour!

I had mine written on an index card in my purse just in case, but I never had to give it to anyone. There was a CM at the front of the park with a clipboard that we just gave our names to, and then when we checked in at Town Square Theater, we just had to give our names as well. I just prefer to be safe though, so I would take it just in case, but that's just me. I'm a little bit of an over-preparer! :D

Not required, but a good idea. I always just keep items and notes like this in my Evernote phone app.

Yes - almost forgot the Disney Visa Discount! Every review I read says the tour guides are great! Seems to be a common theme!

That's awesome about HM - they will be so surprised! Like I said, it's one of my sister's favorites, although she hasn't been to WDW in almost 20 years!

Good to know about the timing - thanks!

I agree with @Dan Murphy and @Mal6586 - always good to have it, especially as I don't think the confirmation number shows up in your MDE. The CM on the phone when I made the reservation also said you should have your ID, although when we did the Family Magic Tour last year, I don't think they asked for it or anything!

I think you meant to post this in the Meals On the Go thread, but just wanted to say I totally agree, lol!

Wow - that' high praise! I have a feeling we're really going to enjoy it! My DH and I saw a biography about Walt, I think on PBS, not too long ago, and it really piqued my interest - especially in the relationship with his brother and how it benefited the company. Reading these responses it really getting me excited for it! And I am a fan of both IASW and Winnie the Pooh, so it's a win either way for me! Thanks! pooh:

We have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour in the past and are taking our adult son in February. We booked Keys again but was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the two tours. I know 3 hours vs 5 hours and the Keys tour has lunch in included. Also Keys didn't take us in to Tomorrow land when we went.

I might switch which one if the Marceline tour is different but same concept.

We did start at 0800, our tour guide was awesome, her name is Darlene, if you get her it will be a bonus!
