can anyone tell me what the weather is likely to be mid-end of june and can you book cafe mickey at the park and approx cost for a family of 4 and if you get a discount using annual passports thanks in advance:confused:

weather varies greatly in summer.

Last June was a very bad heat wave across much of Germany and France - temperature was over 35 degrees many days and often up to 40 in some areas. Remember that the Santa Fe and Cheyenne don't have air conditioning. I was vacationing in Bavaria over that time and spent most of it in the car driving around as that was the only place I could find that was cool (no air conditioning in any of my hotels or pensions)

I work the night shift here ;)

Not too many people on the DLRP board at this time due to the time so I'm happy to help when I can!

oh, and otherwise if no heat wave maybe 18-25 degrees is normal in June

All APs will give you 10% dining discount for table service locations

here is the link to the menu and prices http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/cafemickey.html During busy season you may want to call ahead for popular restaurant bookings, otherwise you can do it at Guest Relations in the hotel or in the park

So I'm reading here that hotel Santa Fe doesn't have air conditioning? what do you have in the rooms to sleep?

no air conditioning but windows open. Remember in Europe we use far less air conditioning than in America.

Frankly, nothing could be worse than 40 degree days, being on the 3rd (top) floor of my old apartment house with one tiny window in the living room, overlooking the muck heap which had been cooking all day in the heat  That is how I spent 3 days of my vacation last year - coming back late evening and leaving early morning to avoid the cooker.

Many Americans report moving from the Santa Fe and Cheyenne shortly after check in during warm weather as they are not expecting that. There is a ceiling fan however

bavaria, I'm planning to go on June 03 - June 06 is the weather ok? I was looking at weather.com that the average is 12 to 21 degree, is this OK? i know I'm not going to be long so I know I could resist ceiling fans and I don't like them, but I already paid the Santa Fe. ;(

just a general word on airconditioning - I have become more accustomed now to the American habit of air conditioning, and find DLRP stuffy even in winter. The attraction queues get quite hot, or in the case of Pirates steamy. In winter I often wear just a t-shirt or polo shirt covered by a wool peacoat.

Shops and restaurants in Europe also may not be air conditioned. Paris is a little better than much of Germany, last summer we were there during World Cup and a friend of mine gave up and went to Paris after a few days due to the lack of cool air in Bavaria. On the train don't expect to open a window unless you ask permission first - many Germans are still worried about getting a draft.

marlaymike, sorry we were posting at the same time! There have been some bad summers lately but it is frankly hard to predict. Other summers are cold and damp. I think that it is just best to hope for cooler rather than warmer weather. Anything under 23 is pretty cool still.

You can always try and upgrade if it gets too hot - I have just read several reviews online from people who were surprised.

I always kept my window at Cheyenne and Sequoia open in winter

thank you!!
Another question, no air condition in rides queues?

Here in puerto rico is not cold, we use air conditioning. . . ;)

but we could resist for three days, don't you thinK?

I wouldn't worry too much in advance. Just be aware that the air doesn't move as much in America if that makes any sense ;) I always keep something to fan my face as I am claustrophobic and that opens helps me to feel better. Even when there is air conditioning, it is not as full blast as in America (I have been to WDW in summer and one can feel the air when walks inside)

It always takes me a few days to adjust again to Europe. From the time that I land in Frankfurt I notice the very poor air conditioning and the relative stickiness. On flyertalk.com Americans even say that the Lufthansa planes are too warm...

But it's warm where you are, right? so you will most likely not feel it too much unless the temperature goes above 25 or so.

yes, is very hot!!! right now (night) and is 25 degrees and feels like 27 degress... i don't have the air conditioning on, we are with a ceiling fan!

This is our first visit to Paris. . . I have been to Germany and Italy, but never to France or Spain.

We are also taking the Disney Cruise on the Med Cruise Experience!!

it sounds like you will have a wonderful trip! we have lots of information on the DLRP boards, even if it is a little quieter than other places on this website. Have fun planning!

Bavaria, thank you for the communication! i was very happy to have the answers as fast as you gave them.

I will keep posted and hope to have a good trip report when we are back!

that's an interesting topic, we are also there the first week of june, we tend to get hot quite easily esp at night, hopefully early june shouldnt be too bad...

can you book cafe mickey at the park and approx cost for a family of 4 and if you get a discount using annual passports
Hi!
We went to Cafe Mickey on Wed 14 March and had a wonderful meal with loads of great character interaction. We were there over 2 hours.

The total cost was 107Euros for 2 adults and 2 kids with no discount as we don't have AP's.

We did book it at the park a couple of days earlier or you can ring 0033 160 30 40 50 from the UK to pre-book it if you prefer
