My Grandfather is going into have a "procedure" done this AM

he is 89 and up to March was 100% independent
than he had a stroke
and it has been downhill ever since

Now he has a lung that wont reinflate cause of a bunch of fluid around it
but every time they drain it it just refills

so the Procedure is to put a semi permenate drain in

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers today

his name is Frank

He needs to get better
my Mom has practically lived with him since March and it is really hard on her and Dad and so frustrating for him since he has Never needed assistance and
he is not liking it at all

thanks in advance for any prayers and pixie dust you may send his way


UPDATE
they did the procedure and decided to keep him at least one night hopefully two
he is dehydrated as he has been refusing to drink so hopefuly they will get that under control

the lung is draining well so far

it is not starting out well

He was suppose to start at 7 am
and when he got to the Hospital they
had no idea he was coming

seems the Dr's office Forgot to tell them


they got ahold of the Dr who confirmed with the Hospital and they are just preping him now

Uggh. . .How frustrating! Well hopefully the rest of the procedure will go smoothly!

Dr came back in and said they were keeping him for 24 hour observation

I am so releived that they are keeping him
