Is there anything worse than the first few hours after you're back home after a week at WDW? I'm sitting here thinking about how great our (DD25 and myself) visit was over the last week and can't believe how quick the week went by. Overall we had pretty good weather, though one morning at MGM I was expecting a tornado at any time with the wind blowing as hard as it was (there was a tornado watch in effect). Crowds were light (IMO) for the first of the week but yesterday at the MK it was as crowded as I've ever seen it. Earlier this week I posted that I preferred VWL over BWV (where we stayed), but by weeks end, I had reversed my opinion. It was so great being able to walk over to Epcot and take the boat (or walk) to MGM. We did both numerous times. Yesterday morning I had the best time of my life. DD wanted to go off on her own and hit some of the rides I don't care for (like Honey, I Shrunk the Audience and Body Wars). So I got myself a cup of coffee and just wandered around Epcot taking pictures. The crowds were rather light and I just had the best time enjoying Epcot right by myself. About noon, I got myself a nice cold beer and just sat and people watched. Then met up with DD at Le Cellier for some delicious mussels and a great steak. It was a great morning.

Two biggies - we did get to ride Soaring. They were doing preview runs occasionally. We just happened to be at the right time at the right place when they opened up the door for a preview. It was great. This is a great addition to Epcot and fits in with the theme perfectly. Also, for the first time ever we were in Space Mountain with the lights on. Actually we rode thru SM on the TTA when the lights were on. We were just riding along and said whoa look, you can see the ride. Evidently there was a problem. Funny, when we got back to the TTA exit, I mentioned it to the CM and she was very surprised, said she hadn't heard anyting and took off running to call someone.

Food wise, DD and myself took the opportunity to eat at some restaurants we don't usually eat at - such as Earl of Sandwich, Teppanyaki, Tangerine Cafe, the Mexican restaurant, Le Cellier, Spoodles and ESPN. My favorite was Spoodles - the Seafood Paella was delicious. DD25 says her favorite was either Earl of Sandwich or Tangerine Cafe.

Our favorite park this year was Epcot of course. But our favorite ride is still TOT. I could ride this ride over and over.

Our flight back was terrible. We were an hour and a half late leaving Orlando and the flight was very, very rough.

Now I'm sitting here washing clothes (DW won't beleive this one when she gets back from her trip tommorrow night) and thinking about when I can get back to WDW again. One good thing we do have two more trips coming up this year - a week at Las Vegas and Arizona (first trip to Grand Canyon) in July and a week at HHI in August (love that HHI add-on). I'm also planning our big trip in June 2006, two weeks in Hawaii plus a stop-off at Disneyland on the way back.

Well I didn't really plan for this to turn into a mini-trip report. But just talking about our trip brings back fond memories. Thanks for listening.

Glad you had such a great time WPF. As I sit here watching State woop Wisc!

So, let me get this straight. You prefer BWV over VWL??? Just kidding. We have yet to be able to pull ourselves from VWL (except to stay at OKW when we need the room or the low points). Some day we will stay at an Epcot resort. I am sure we will love it also.

Thanks for the report. I always enjoy reading them. Go Wolfpack! .

Moo - Looks like it wasn't meant to be as far as the Pack goes. Oh well, we at least ended up doing alot better than we thought we would a couple of weeks ago. And to top it off, Duke looses also. That just leaves Carolina. As far as VWL and BWV, I would say at this point I like them about equally. It kind of depends on what kind of vacation we want to have. If we're going down for a real park heavy trip, I'd probably choose BWV. But I can also see us doing many trips where we just want to go down and relax and I love the peace and quiet of VWL.

Ok, so I was at the part where State was winning :smooth: .
Who knew they wouldn't win? :confused3
It's called wishful thinking :sunny: .

We are ABC fans (anybody but Carolina). So my husband has chosen Carolina to win at a work pool, that way he will be dissapointed, but will win some $$. :cool1:

I agree WPF. I can see where it would be good to stay at an Epcot resort for a different type of vacation.

Our "home" is VWL
This Aug DS13 & I are staying at VWL for 6nights, WL for 2nights and then BCV for 6nights
This will be our first time staying at an EpCot resort. I do think it will feel like a different vacation - we may come home w/a new favorite

Thanks for your report

Moo - I kind of tolerate Carolina. Unfortunately my wife is a big Carolina fan; but somehow we're still married after 33 years. We have season tickets to State football and basketball. At the Carolina game at RBC, she sat there right in the midst of a ton of red and cheered for Carolina hard as she could. I told her she was mighty brave doing that. Oh well, I think we'll have a great team next year in spite of loosing Hodge.
