Considering this resort for Labor Day weekend.

Are there food choices at the pool bar?

Is the pool big enough for the resort?

How is the bus service?

Susy,

Just got back from POFQ. Have to say I was quite impressed with the resort and the amenities. They did a beautiful job remodelling the place. Generally found the CM's there great (especially John @ the pool bar; He was particularly adept at remembering names the first time). I didn't really notice any food other than some chips/chips & cheese at the bar. However it wasn't really a concern since the food court was literally a couple hundred feet behind the pool. I saw a lot of people carrying trays and food back from the FC to the pool.

Since it was so hot, there were quite a lot of people at the pool. However, it didn't seem crowded at all. We went both in the afternoon and the evening and had enough room not to get bumped or the incidental splashing.

I have my reservations concerning the bus system as a whole (and the stories to go with it). However, during normal peak periods we never waited more than 10 minutes and the busses can handle a fair amount of people at one time. A major advantage with staying at the FQ is that the busses pick up and drop off at this resort first. This is a huge plus because there is only one stop at FQ and 4 @ riverside.

Hope this helps.

susy,

The food bar only has chips and queso. But it is a really short walk from the pool to the food court, and they have a huge selection on food items.

The pool is pretty big in my opinion. We also went in the afternoon and the evenings, and there was plenty of room even though there was a lot of people there. The only thing was that the towels seemed to run out quite frequently, so bring your own towel just in case, especially at night. The slide is a lot of fun. They also have a hot tub, which is really nice as well.

The bus system is okay. The run pretty frequently, and I do agree that I am so glad they stop at FQ first. The only problem we had was that when the parks closed, the line at POFQ was insanely long. It was the longest line of all the resorts, which was so surprising for us. We usually did not get on a bus until almost an hour later or so when we left the parks at closing. I guess since FQ is so new, and really such a nice resort, a lot of people are staying there. I personally think that POR and POFQ should each have their own bus rather than share. There are just too many people staying at each.

But it is a wonderful resort and really nice grounds. Check out my pics from my May trip. The link is below.

Have fun!!

We just recently got back and as other posters have said there was always plenty of room at the pool and hot tub.

At Magic Kingdom POFQ and POR have seperate bus routes, but Epcot, Studios, and Animal Kingdom share.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the length of the bus lines as hubby uses an ECV at WDW so he was always seated first.

Also, when we stay at a park till closing, we tend to stay in the park as late as possible to wait out the crowds so we're not waiting in a smelly bus line with diesel fumes. It also helps to alleviate the feeling of angry folks as we get loaded first because of the ECV.
