Some pixie dust, some magic, and our dreams came true! Sept 20-27 W/Pics *COMPLETED*

Can't wait to read the rest!!! I would have been freaking also...I HATE being late.

Great cliffhanger! I can totally understand where you were coming from on that morning - I get really IRRITABLE when I am running late - especially for something importang!

mkluvsmickey, congratulations! You're going to WDW tomorrow! Lucky you! I am already wanting to go back! Hope you have a GREAT time!

Will post my next update tonight!

We walked into the Biddibi Bobbidi Boutique and they welcomed us right in and sat the girls in their own salon chairs. They gave the girls programs which had their names imprinted on them. We had dressed the girls in costumes this morning.

Traci and I had prepared for the moment the girls were able to select their hairstyle of choice. We're not big fans of the Diva or Pop Princess styles so the entire trip Traci and I would ham it up by having conversations which the girls "overheard" about the fact that we LOVED the Fairytale Princesses best. We talked this up several times so by the time they were seated in the chairs they responded wholeheartedly that they wanted to be "Fairytale Princesses"!!! It worked like a charm! :thumbsup2

They placed cotton around their necks and draped them with Bibbidi Bobbidi capes.

Grace was very hesitant about the entire affair, she didn't want to sit in the chair or have the cape on. I had to urge her to play along. Tatum, on the other hand LOVED the entire process and you could tell she relished the experience. They referred to the girls as "Princess" and showed them what they were going to do. They began to spray the girls hair and put it up into a bun.

IMG_4765.jpg

Grace doesn't like to have her hair brushed so it took A LOT of encouragement to get her to allow them to brush her hair and put it up.

The girls were allowed to choose the tiara they wanted from an assortment of various tiaras with colored gemstones. They also received a "hidden Mickey" barrette that was placed in the hair. They were also shown various shades of nail polish to choose from and they painted their nails. All this time, the girls were facing away from the mirror so they could not see what was being done to them.

Then, they showed the girls their pallettes of makeup and asked them to choose eye shadow color and lip gloss color. They then applied their makeup. They also placed a jeweled applique on their faces.

Grace was finished before Tatum and so they did a fancy ceremony where they sprinkled her head with pixie dust and turned her around so she could see herself in the mirror. She was very pleased with herself!

Next, Tatum was done and her reveal was much more dramatic. Her Fairy Godmother took her cape off before the unveiling, smoothed and situated her dress and sash and in a very grand fashion turned her around to see herself. I really cried when I saw Tatum's reaction. You could tell she really believed she was a true princess now!! princess:

We have really great Photopass pictures from this event that I'll post very soon!

By the time we were finished it was 9:10am and we were 10 minutes late for our reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast. Luckily, we were steps away from checking in.

Grace is not really a "girly girl" so the BBB experience was somewhat lost on her but for girls like Tatum, who love the princesses the BBB is well worth the time and money. A girl's first "beauty salon" experience like this is one she'll never forget!

Up next, Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast!

My dd was looking over my shoulder at these pictures... she is a girly girl and I'm sure she would love to have this done. Unfortunately I did not sign her up for this on our trip - I was thinking maybe our next trip when she is 6 or so. What do they do for girls who do not have long hair? I'm not sure Camryn's hair would fit up into a bun (it is very curly and not that long)

Looks like it was a lot of fun!!

To a lot of people Cinderella's Royal Table is the Pièce de résistance of a trip to WDW. Especially when you have a four year old daughter. I knew I wanted to make this last day the most special it could be and that's why I rose at 5am exactly 180 days before this date to make this reservation. These are the most sought after ADR's in all of WDW, and especially for breakfast. We used 2 Table service credits each to dine here and I wondered if it would be worth it...

We checked in at the podium in the main hallway of the castle. They sent us in to see Cinderella and there was only one family ahead of us in the line to see her. The girls approached and Cinderella greeted them royally, but warmly:

The photpass Photographers took the girls pictures which would be later brought to our table in the form of 1 8x10 in a Cinderlla's Castle Photo Holder and 6 4x6's tucked inside.

After the meet n greet with Cinderella, our name was called and we were escorted up a spiral staircase to the main dining room.

IMG_4785.jpg

The walls were rich grain wood, stone and the windows were stained glass windows. Upon reaching the top of the staircase we were escorted to our table, next to a window which overlooked Fantasyland. Fresh squeezed orange juice was brought and we ordered coffee as well. A glass bowl of mixed fruit and a basket of danishes and muffins was placed on the table. We were very hungry.

After about 15 minutes our server brought us our hot plates of food. The girls were served french toast sticks with eggs and bacon. Traci and I were served sausage, bacon, eggs, a potato casserole and a blintz covered with blueberry fruit jam. It was all pretty good.

About that time the princesses started to come around. First, Jasmine stopped by to sign autograph books and pose for pictures:

Then came Snow White:

Then Belle:

IMG_4793.jpg

Then they made an announcement that parents should get their cameras ready because a special ceremony would take place. About 5 minutes later they had a wishing star ceremony with the wishing stars and magic wands they gave out:

IMG_0745.jpg

I wont give away too much, but the girls thought they were part of a "magical ceremony"!

After the wishing star ceremony the Fairy Godmother visited us and spoke to the the girls awhile:

IMG_4799.jpg

We were stuffed and could have sat there awhile but this was our last day and we still had some MK fun left in us!!!

So we went back down the spiral staircase with stops at the royal potty and Traci took some pics of the girls in the lobby downstairs:

IMG_4802.jpg

Don't those pictures really show two girls on top of the world! :goodvibes

I must say that Grace used her magic wand as a weapon for the rest of the day until it finally broke from the excessive abuse (It is cheap plastic after all).

Where will we venture out to now?
Stay tuned for my next post to find out!

Great update and love the pictures of BBB! We have an appointment there TOMORROW!!! The girls look like they are having the time of their lives and I'm sure they will remember that day forever.

After Cinderella's Royal Table we immediately rode the carousel. The crowds were noticebly heavier than prior days (this was an extra magic hour day).

I think this picture is adorable!
IMG_4806.jpg

IMG_4807.jpg

After the carousel, the girls wanted to do different things so we split up. Also, this allowed us to have one-on-one time with our daughters. :goodvibes

Grace immediately wanted to ride the Teacups so that's where we went. After the teacups we went to ride the Indy Speedway and Grace, dressed in the princess dress and BBB sash, driving the racecar, attracted some stares! :lmao:

IMG_0761.jpg

After the Speedway Grace and I rode Buzz about 4 times in a row with no lines. Not a great score but I'll take it.

IMG_0764-1.jpg

After the 4th time the lines had accumulated so we went on to something else. We decided to ride the people mover and it was a good "bonding" ride because we could talk, laugh, and make jokes.

After riding the people mover we ran into Tatum and Traci just coming into Tomorrowland from the castle where they watched the Dream Along with Mickey show.
IMG_4816_edited.jpg

We all decided to try the Laugh Floor Comedy Show and went inside to wait the approximately 15 minutes until the next show.

IMG_0768.jpg

IMG_4817.jpg

We walked in and sat towards the rear but Grace became very bored with this show very quickly. The chairs in this theatre are strange-very high off the ground and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Grace actually fell off the chair and started to cry so I carried her out before the end of the show.

As is usually the case, our strollers had been moved and they moved Traci's all the way over by Stitch's Great Escape. Once we found it we went into Auntie Gravities and ordered 2 strawberry-banana smoothies. They were GOOD :thumbsup2 and only one snack credit. We had about 6 snack credits left at this time that we were trying to use. While drinking our smoothies were were entertained by "Push" the talking trash can.

After the smoothies Tatum wanted to go on the Tommorowland Transit Authority so we all went together.

IMG_0771.jpg

After that, to my extreme horror the girls wanted to ride the Astro Orbiter!!

Now I don't even like the teacups due to motion sickness so I was not enthusiastic about riding. Plus, it was HOT and the line was about 20 people long. But we waited and finally went into the elevator up to the deck and waited some more. Finally we loaded into our rockets and blasted off. Some would tell you that this is Dumbo higher in the sky. I don't know why or how, but it is far worse than Dumbo, motion-wise. Perhaps it goes faster?

IMG_4821.jpg

Anyway, after that smoothie I was not pleased to be on the Astro Orbiter. AND to top things off we rode down in the elevator with a learning challenged young lady who kept insisting she was going to "barf".:scared1:
I just knew it was not going to be a pretty sight when she barfed in an elevator full of 10 people who would then commence barfing and we would arrive to the ground level and the doors would open and barf would go spilling out!!! Right in front of the Lunching Pad!

Things are a blur immediately after that ride but the pictures prove we went over to Adventureland and rode the magic Carpets AGAIN! I think I rode the carpets at least 12 times this trip!! The things we do for our kids!

IMG_0773.jpg

And Tatum saw Briar Fox (?) and I'm not sure who the other character is:

Up next, we spend our final Table service credits at Whispering Canyon Cafe!

I have been enjoying reading your trip report! The characters in that last photo are from Pinnochio, although I don't know their names. Can't wait to hear how your trip ended!

Awww, it's getting close to the end of your trip. I've enjoyed reading this so much! Can't wait to read the next installment.

We honeymooned at the Wilderness Lodge and were woken up by the Whispering Canyon Cafe EVERY morning! Great for kids, not so much for honeymooners. :scared:

I had a near fatal computer crash today. I was stressed to the max! It has taken me 6 hours to bring my computer back to life and I didn't lose any data. Close call! Everyone backup your files RIGHT NOW!

I will try to put Photopass pictures in some kind of chronological order. We ended up with over 200 Photopass Pics-I won't bore you with all of them but I will post quite a few!

Thank you SO MUCH everyone who has posted kind comments! Though I do not respond to each post individually (hey, I have a four year old who takes up ALL my time!) I truly appreciate the kind words that are so representative of the community of Disney afficianados that wish to fill their hearts and minds with pixie dust, magic, and yes, dreams fulfilled! Yes, we are nearing the end of our report but we still have a few exciting/stressful moments left to tell! Not to mention a ton of great pictures left!

Yes, Jen ordered the photopass CD before the trip. I believe it was $99. We split the cost.:thumbsup2 A few notes about the photopass...You can combine multiple cards. Like say you are at one location and family members are somewhere else getting photopass pics taken on a different card, you can easily put all cards on the one account. And I believe you have up to 30 days after your trip to decide if you even want the photopass pics. I think for a full refund! Jen's computer is down. I'll bet she'll respond back asap. I see that you are going real soon! I'm so jealous!:cool1:

Since Jen is out of commission, I'll take this time to recall our Whispering Canyon experience. We took the ferry to the WL. It was pretty neat a little hot and humid though. And a little slow. But, we got to see a different part of disney that I've never seen. There was a group water skiing. After a couple of stops we finally arrive. WOW! This is a really beautiful resort! Breathtaking!
IMG_4847.jpg

IMG_4846.jpg

We briefly looked around, but hightailed it to the resturant. We were seated straight away. I didn't really know about this place. Lots of loud "ribbing" of the waitstaff with each other. Very amusing. Our waitress was sweet. She kinda didn't fit. Maybe she was new. The girls got into the coloring pages and hung them on the big pillars in the middle of WC.:cool1:
IMG_4841.jpg

THE FOOD WAS GREAT! Family style with ribs, chicken (I can't remember what other meat b/c I only ate the ribs). :thumbsup2 The veggies were good. The girls chow downed too! One funny incident is when I ordered more tea.
