Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but...
He is a runner and there are only 3 races left of the track season, 2 are championships. He's worked hard and now he is having calf pain. Off to the orthopedist tomorrow. Cross your fingers that it's only something minor. If it's a stress fracture, which he had before, his season is over.

Do the happy pills I"m taking for a root canal count??

It's little but stressful. First you get an x-ray, take it back to the dr. Then an mri, back to the dr, then bone scan.... Every time they tell you it could be minor or possibly need surgery. By the time it's all finished son has been feeling better and hates that I'm keeping him from running skateboarding and surfing.
