What pin sells for a lot of money, or a requires an extra trade, but you can't figure out why?:D :earsgirl:

I have mixed feelings about the DL Mystery pins.. they look like rack pins to me    Not sure I would pay a lot for them.

I don't see anything special about the DL Mystery Pins either...they aren't even "fancy"...and Jiminy looks like he's a little boy using a training potty!!! I wouldn't trade much of anything for any of those.

I haven't been too impressed with the DL Maystery pins. Look just like ordinary rack pins to me....I wouldn't give up much for them, either.

Weren't the DL Halloween pins limited to 1200, just like the new mystery pins? Those Halloween pins were much cuter!

JMHO!

I felt that way about those blasted E tickets.......but dammit....I have them anyway.......more for DH......he has been to WDW every yr since it opened and has fond memories of E tickets!

I don't think anyone would be very interested in the DL mystery pins if they weren't LE 1200. I know so far none have really impressed me. But if they trade well.....

As to the original question, I ones that surprize me the most are the oval Villains pins, LE 500, that were given out when you went on a ride during the Diva's event last fall. There are better villain pins out there. Notably the Magic Mirror ones.

That hideous Inauguration Day pin...

Typical example of mere sales and marketing. It is not what I'd call a mind - numbing, outstanding, beautiful pin.

Disneyland pins seem to be prettier than many WDW pins, although they left me baffled with the trash can series! There are many rack pins that are such a work of beauty! Yet many collectors ignore them.

I love animal pins. To me, the more realistic the look, the more beautiful the pin is.

Oh, I dunno...There's something kinda neat about those trash can pins. Kinda like somebody at Disney said, "Whatch 'em eat THIS one up...the suckers" :) Still, It's a set I'm thinking of trying to collect, just for the shock factor...lol

Have to agree on the Inauguration pin, though i DO like the Mickey for President one.

As for the pins I think are way "over-priced", the Flubber mystery pin springs immediately to mind. It's LE, sure, but, well, just kinda boring. Others include the Main Street Spinner (which everyone knows I'm trying to get, but won't give an arm and a leg for a LE 5000 pin), the Haunted Mansion dangle (LOVE this pin, but $300 dollars for a pin is just ridiculous to me), the Millionaire pins (cool concept, but the 500k one is selling for over $125 on eb...)...But the absolute WORST as far as being over priced (with an apology before hand to you Dizpins folks) is the poolside Mickey. I know, I know, it's VERY limited and all...but, in my opinion, it's just not that pretty of a pin...particularly not for that price. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have one, but only for trading purposes :)
