Another thing, couldn't there "possibly" be some legal issues to arise with an arrangement such as this person suggests? I think it could get way too tangled and messy over the years using your property merely on your "okay".

YES!!!!! That's the kind of messy stuff I was thinking! You poor thing, you've had so much to deal with over the past year. Even though I didn't always comment on your threads, I was reading them and feeling empathy for you. Sure wish I had "magic words" to offer you in this situation. All I can say is to follow the wise advice the other Disers have offered here. Give these pushy people an inch and the next thing you know they'll have taken over. Then you'll be scratching your head wondering "how" that happened.

I think asking to borrow his car is a great idea. I hear you don't particularly care for the color though - maybe he'll go halvsies on a paint job so you can use it?

Thanks.. I'm really doing quite well though.. I've made a lot of changes in my life, have been able to accept things that were previously unacceptable, and now - with a much clearer mind - am working towards building the kind of life that will bring me happiness and satisfaction for however long I'm still alive..

Don't get me wrong - I don't regret the life that I had before - even with all of the problems - but that life is gone now and it's time to move on..

I don't even like the car.. Would it be presumptuous of me to suggest he trade it in and get something more to my liking?
