Some people just can't keep a secret!!

Boy, I thought I was bad at keeping a secret, but apparently my family and DH's family is worse. I have been planning a surprise trip home to the US to surprise the family since January, I only told two people, my middle sister and my husband's sister, and apparently they both have spilled some of the beans. For months they kept the secret and now that it is closer they start spilling....jeeeesh! I had to tell them because for one I needed someone to pick me up at the airport and for two I needed a place to stay when I came home. I can't believe they told. My sister told my other sister and DH's sister told the other sister and her dad!!! At least the mom's don't know, but I am telling you, my 6 year old is doing a better job of not telling grandma than the adults.

Bummer. But take into consideration that they are obviously very happy and excited!

Do you think you'll be able to keep their traps (mouths) shut from telling the Moms until you get home??

My brother (may he rest in peace), many years ago when our DD was christened in Phila, let it slip to me that my mother was going to fly up from Florida for the christening. We had adopted our DD from Korea and my mother had not seen her yet.

When my mother arrived at my in-laws house, it was all I could do to act surprised. She knew by my face, though, that someone had let it slip. But, the important fact was that she was there.

Well, now I see another dilemma ... would other family members now be upset that some know about the surprise and they've been left in the dark?

Wouldn't you know it, just when you thought you had something wonderful planned someone just had to go & spill the beans.

I do hope they can contain themselves from spilling any more before the big surprise

RATS! Well, it stinks that they are blowing your secret, but I bet they are just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited that you are coming over that they just can't keep it in any longer. I know if you were coming to visit me I'd be blabbing it to everyone! At least you will have your own secret to share (right, or did your Mom tell everyone how fantastic you are looking when she visited you recently?)

You must be getting REALLY REALLY REALLY excited now, I bet your heart is beating a mile a minute just thinking about being home again and hugging everyone you love!
