I don't go often, mostly a Disney family. When I do go I usually have lots of questions. I love these boards but the more the merrier. Any suggestions for other good sites?

Very many thanks for all those great sites!

I second, third and fourth that site..they have a lot of photo updates, and some really crazy boards....but most of all they have one killer podcast!:rolleyes1
They talk a lot of stuff, not all related to Universal Orlando.....but they do have a weekly segment about the latest news not only at Universal....but all the parks.

I prefer the boards with the most membership as they seem to be more active. Universalignited has around 70 members. IOACentral has a little over 3800 members. Screamscape doesn't have a discussion board. Universal-Excitement has around 1500 members. Universal-excitement has great pictures there but everytime that I click on the main page it tries to download something to my computer called "HOOK.wma" I don't know what that is but I don't like things downloading onto my computer without asking me for permission first. I have a Mac and so I'm not very worried about viruses but many downloads are made for windows and not for Mac. So any site that immediately downloads something onto my computer is one I stay away from. The Disboard has around 120,000 members but many do not contribute to the Universal forums.

If you aren't concerned about the discussion boards, then any of the sites mentioned above would be fine. They all have great information and pictures. If you are looking for discussion, go with the ones with the most people.

And dont forget the ones with the cool podcasts:thumbsup2

okay, okay.....so i joined ioacentral......:rolleyes1

ya twisted my arm :bitelip:

Message forums are where it's at.

IOA central has a very cool base of users that are hip to the parks, they just need to keep the system running with no down time and get the main web site back up. There's so many people willing to help out, I don't see what the problem is.

I read Screamscape, and the construction forum of Thrillnetwork.com to see what everyone is excited about. Of coarse it's ROLLER COASTERS, but you always get the family talk from the suits and board admins. And then I come in and post the stats right here.

If I wanna go see a movie, or a show, then I've got that locally. But a 400+ feet roller coaster? That's only at SFNJ and CP.

Guess who has the most post on the construction forum? It's CP. It's not even close. Yes, CP doesn't make the top 10 of the attendance figues, that's because they're only open 5 months of the year. If they were open year around, they'd crush Disney. Same for SFNJ.

Well HOOK.wma is the audio file that plays the music on the main page, I have a mac and I've never encountered this problem and I've never been made aware of that problem... and if you have a mac then you must be using firefox or some other form of browser, and if you are using firefox then the file wouldn't even show up to be downloaded because the embed is only for Windows, but whatever, you know me I just had nothing better to do then install a virus on my site that would download itself to everyone's computer... even my own... yeah the FBI wouldn't be after me for Internet Hijacking. However I should mention every website you go to even this site, ever file, ever page, every link, everything you see infront of you this very second is now downloaded into your computer without your premission... just wanted to let you know that.

I use Safari as my browser. I don't know why the audio file is downloading onto my Mac instead of just playing like on most sites. That is the the only site I've gone to that does that for music. I did try it on my husband's G5 and it didn't download the music--it just played it. My Mac laptop is older (a G3) using Safari 1.3, and OS 10.3.9. I said i wasn't worried about a virus but don't like Windows downloads.

I did take those music files off the site once before but everyone wanted me to put them back because each pages has a theme to that area or that areas main attraction so they felt it gave it more of a touch of actually being at the parks while they looked at pictures and stuff...

No problem, Mike. Now that I know what it is, it's all good.
