Some news - with update - I'm back!!!

Hey y'all
Just to let you know I'll be disappearing again for a while....DS (5) is going into hospital on Tuesday for some pretty major surgery. We need to travel to St James's in Leeds and he'll be in for at least a week!!!

I've not been on the boards much since moving house - been a bit distracted, and dial-up is a nuisance - still not got my Broadband back - Wednesday it'll be connected - when I'm away I've missed taking part in John's quiz.........who is in charge for November???

Hope you all have a great time at the Meet - I'm so jealous......those cocktails on the menu were yummy!!!!

St James is near me, its a wonderful hospital it treated my nephew when he was a baby, he had a hole in the heart, and they still send borthday and christmas cards to him now

I'm back again...............!!!

Everything went well with DS, he has had a muscle transferred from his thigh to his arm - giving him a new bicep muscle which will allow him to flex his elbow, which he can't do due to a birth injury called Erb's Palsy. He spent a couple of days in High Dependency before going back to the ward, then home today. We need to return in 3 weeks to have the dressings removed, but it will be 6 - 9 months before we know if it will be successful or not!

So glad to get back to the DIS (got Broadband back at last - 1mb no less!!!) - and what do I find...........picture questions in the quiz!!!!!!! I suppose they're not as bad as mine - no carpet pictures!!!!

Glad you all got your prizes ok - sorry it took so long to get them out!!!
