Hi! A few easy questions(I hope)....

1. I want to stay at AK until closing(regular 5p) and wonder if I can get to Spoodles via Disney transportation for a 5:50 Spoodles ADR? I don't want to cut the day short or be overly rushed.

2. I wil be at MGM and would like to catch the parade(4:30, right?). Can I do so and make a 5:10 ADR at Mama Melrose? A 6:10 is also available but then would I miss Fantasmic at 8:30? (no package)

3. To get to DTD, which is the least time consuming: one of the parks or POP? I have to go to guest relations even though I have no other interest in DTD and want to make it as quick as possible.

Thanks!

You should have no trouble getting from Ak to Boardwalk in less than 50 minutes.

The parade times vary by month or by time of year -- they're not the same time 365 days a year, so check the schedule for the day you intend to be there. The parade takes about 20 minutes or so, so again you shouldn't have much trouble watching the parade and then walking up to 10 minutes to get to the restaurant.

There is no direct transportation from any of the theme parks to DTD, so if you are traveling by Disney Transport bus you'll have to go there from a resort.

1. Probably, but you just never know. If you're out at the bus stop at 5P you should be on a bus at least by 5:30 --- there's often a crowd at park closing time so it's unpredictable. Haven't stayed at an Epcot hotel for awhile, so can't remember the order of bus stops. There HAD been busses that stopped at all 5 resorts, and if Boardwalk is the last one, it will take awhile to get there. If it's the first stop, that will obviously be much quicker. Other posts have said that their busses only stopped at 3 of the Epcot resorts, not all 5. I'd definitely leave the parks before 5 to get to the bus stop.

2. I'd think so. Mama Melrose is probably just a 5" walk from main street.

3. Don't think any busses go from the parks to DTD any more because people were parking for free at DTD and hopping a bus to the park to avoid paying for parking. So, it's quicker to get to DTD from any of the resorts. If you happened to be in the World Showcase @ Epcot, you could walk to Beach Club and catch a bus from there to DTD. Or, leave MK and go to the Contemporary and catch a bus. (I'm assuming you need to go to that specific Guest Relations and can't use one in the parks).

Just curious - is there a particular reason you have to use Guest Services at Downtown Disney? The same counters at the four major theme parks can do whatever GS at DTD can.

That is my understanding. It it involves my Disney Visa Rewards card. I've only had the card for a few months. and you have to accumulate a certain number of points to order a rewards card. I made the mistake of paying off my vacation 1 day after the billing cycle, so the points ended up in the next cycle and can't be redeemed until the after the new cycle ends on the 26th....we leave the 29th and mailing time is over a week. So, I was told I would need to go to DTD guest services to get the rewards card....So I'm really mad at myself because I have to waste hours of my vacation running after the card....

Okay, the Budget Board seems to know a LOT about Disney Visa Rewards. Why not post over there and ask if the park Guest Services can help you... or, if you have time at a park any time during your trip before you make the trek to Downtown Disney, just stop at Guest Services and see if they can take care of it.
My concern (aside from the time involved) is that once you get to DTD, even though you didn't plan to buy anything, you'll be tempted...
