As I'm rather bored right now, and I'm all for random threads because I'm reading Wikipedia.

Did you know Paris Hilton's dog Tinkerbell is actually known as Tinkerbell Hilton, and has her own page on Wikipedia?

And Fuse, was previously known was MuchUSA, which was like an American version of Much Music which used to be owned by CHUM.
MuchUSA was a 24-hour American music video television station co-owned by CHUM Limited and Rainbow Media Holdings Incoporation. It was launched in 1994 and ended in late 2000. At its peak, MuchUSA had 24 million subscribers in the United States. It was later sold to Cablevision subsidiary Rainbow Media and is now known as Fuse. - from Wikipedia

Finding Nemo was released on DVD in Canada and the US on my 11th birthday. :teeth:

As of November 02, 2006, there were 2,651 Tim Horton's outlets in Canada, 310 in the United States.

"The Nintendo DS bears a striking resemblance to Nintendo's first handheld, the Game and Watch, specifically the Donkey Kong version."

I couldn't resist, being a gamer and all. ;)

Have to love Tim Horton's, I have about fifteen of them within a twenty minute driving distance! :rotfl:

It's wonderful there are so many around.
My friend made her mother take her to three of them, because the first two the ice cap machine was broken. Without Tim's, she'd go nuts.

RAS syndrome (Redundant Acronym Syndrome syndrome) is a common tendency to use one of the words which make up an acronym or initialism as well as the abbreviation itself, thus in effect repeating that word. "RAS syndrome" is itself an humorous example, coined in 2001 in New Scientist magazine.[1] The term PNS syndrome (PIN number syndrome syndrome), coined by Usenet users[2], is used as commonly as RAS Syndrome[3]. Other nonce coinages continue to arise. The terms themselves are occasionally referred to as RAP phrases (Redundant Acronym Phrases phrases).[4]

Technically, this redundancy is a form of tautology, and in many cases a pleonasm. Most criticism of it is lighthearted or pedantic, and the majority of speakers find most instances unexceptionable

I already knew about that one, but went to get the quote. I find it oddly ineteresting. My personal favorite is HUD display (Heads Up Display display.

What's Tim Horton's?:confused3

Tim Horton was a hockey player, from what I've heard. Tim Horton's is a coffee chain, like Dunkin' Donuts, in his honor. It has better food though, and a vast aray of pasteries. I completely adore their Iced Cap.
The commercials for their mugs and stuff over Xmas were amazing/hilarious!

yah i've never heard of Tim Horton either but it sounds cool

umm . . . .

The Virtual Magic Kingdom consists of "rooms", each depicted in isometric projection, and each with a distinct theme.

^from wikipedia under VMK..yah thats a really big word and dont know what that means lol but i hope that is random enough pluto:

PS: good idea for a thread
