Some info on Port Orleans French Quarter

Hi we are going over to the parks June 10 -16 staying at the
Port Orleans French Quarters got a good deal for 6 nights for $559.00 with tax. For being a Fl. resident

Just wanted to ask whats to be on the look out for when we are there. We have stayed at all the All-Stars & AKL & Coronado Springs
So we are going to try this out any info will help.

We have stayed there once; and at it's sister resort Dixie Landings (oops, PO-Riverside) 3 times. We really enjoy the laid-back feel you get at these resorts. We enjoy them much more than the All-Stars. The FQ grounds are based on New Orleans row houses with wrought iron balconies. The pathways between buildings are named for streets in the French "Rue" names. There are many squares and fountains in between buildings. and "gas"light lanterns illuminate the roads at night for a truly magical stroll. No building is to far away from the resort center, which has the check-in area, guest services, a merchandise store, a samll video arcade, a lounge which has live jazz music, and a food court. There used to be a sit-down restaurant, but it was closed down before the resort's closure, so I don't know if it will open back up or not. The resort pool is themed in a Madi Gras motif, with a serpent slide that is very cute. Ther is also a clamshell waterfall. The themeing is great for children. Bikes, boats, and surrrey bikes can be rented at the marina, and it is a short bike ride to PO-Riverside. Transportation to the parks is by bus, and ther is a passenger boat to DowntownDisney.
