Hey all,
Just got back from our 4th cruise on the Magic and I wanted to share a few tidbits with everyone. Trip reports will follow on the trip report board.
Staff Captain Thord said a few interesting things at a talk on the Magic's Dry Dock
1) There are no plans to swap the Magic and Wonder. He said that there would be significant costs in doing that.
2) He would "not comment" on rumors that the Magic will be in California for the 2005 celebration. Which tells me that it will be there.
3) Disney invested 30 million dollars in the Magic during dry dock - they replaced carpet, teak wood, tile. There was a LOT more work done than I thought.
4) The Magic was built for 30 years of use.
Also, Captain Tom confirmed that Disney was looking into fleet expansion, but that nothing was final yet.
The whole "excellent" thing got a bit old. I am from the Bill & Ted generation, but I do not regularly call things "Excellent" I once said that something was very good and my server was shocked and wanted to know why it wasnt excellent and what she could do to make it excellent.
They should have 2 choices on the evaluation form "Excellent" or "Bogus".
