Some HOTHS questions?

Ignoring the whole "where the heck is the '22 EBPC???", I'm looking the the other boat's HOTHS sail dates that fall on the holiday itself. One is too short, one has you flying back from PR which basically leaves the Fantasy 8 nighter as the best choice.

But is it my imagination or does DCL actually charge less for the sail dates that actually include October 31st? Seems counter-intuitive compared to Merrytime sailing pricing?

We were supposed to do our first HOTHS this year's on the Wonder but that seems to be toast. For those of you who favor this holiday sailing, is there any difference between a HOTHS on the actual holiday and one at any other time?

School is usually in session during October/Halloween, so yes, it will be cheaper based upon that. The Merrytime cruise happen in November and December, when the Thanksgiving and Christmas vacations have kids out of school.

I have sailed on Halloween Day before, as well as several other HOTHS sailings that did not include the holiday. They were all the same. Nothing special happened on Halloween Day that didn't happen on the other sailings. Who knows if that will change in the future though.

We did a HOTHS cruise that didn't fall over Halloween in the past and we are considering another for 2022. I believe that I've read here though that even with a sailing over Oct 31, the trick or treating doesn't always fall on the holiday itself. They stick to their schedule based on the itinerary.
