Hi all

Following our return from a lovely 2 weeks in Jamaica (will post later on this), our thoughts have turned rather rapidly to our FLORIDA  holiday next Sept (15 - 29)

We are going to downsize our flights from PE to Econ, as the £500 each just doenst seem worth it at the mo and in doing so we might as well make wholesale changes to our holiday.

We are having second thoughts about about staying at the Buena Vista Palace and am hoping that some of you could advise on anywhere else to stay, preferably in the LBV area, although this is not essential (but we really dont want I-Drive.) To keep our deposit we really need something out of the the Virgin brochure, although we are considering Disney hotels with Dining - turning our booking into a Fly drive and booking direct with Disney.

We're not snobby by any means but we like a decent hotel, rather than the "motel" type places, and also a good pool that we can sit round in the afternoon sun!

We have a car so location not really an issue, but if possible we do like a bit of a walk after dinner..... try to get rid of those extra lbs at every opportunity! :rotfl2:

Over to you all!!:thumbsup2

I don't have any experience as off-site so unfortunately can't help there...

but....we're flying out the same day as you! September 15th - October 3rd 2011 :goodvibes We'll be on the 1pm VS015 out of Gatwick that day :yay:

We're staying at POFQ, and managed to upgrade from the free QSDP to the DDP for £300 between two of us. I don't know what you'd consider re staying onsite but I definately would recommend POFQ

Anyway, I hope you manage to sort something out :thumbsup2

Thank you - another one on tonights list!

Have you considered a villa or is your heart set on a hotel?

I have though about a villa, but there are only the 2 of us. For some wierd reason going on holiday means being squashed into one room and someone else making the bed!!! Staying in a villa might feel too much like being at home?
We'd only want a "small" one - please feel free to recommend any!

Nothing weird about that, we feel exactly the same, been in a 4 bed villa and a 2 bed Condo didn't enjoy either. Although lovely places we didn't get the holiday feel, making bed, a quick run round with the vac, do that at home not on holiday.
We do like OKW studio though, more like a little apartment but full housekeeping service(and free DDP:cloud9:)
You won't know until you try though, many prefer a villa.
