Some have ddp, some don't....

So, quick question.
If my friend has DDP and I have tables in wonderland (we're not in the same room) can we dine together and just have the checks issued separately? It would be insane if we couldn't, but I just want to double check.....

Servers will usually ask at the start of the meal if anyone is on the dining plan so at that time you can let him/her know who will be on the plan and who will be paying OOP.

And just in case you weren't aware, those on the DDP using credits cannot share their meals with those not on the DDP. Seems silly, but when we had that configuration a couple of years ago, people on these boards were very clear that that is a big no no. My sister was not on the DDP, so we would just get our bills separately, as others have mentioned.
