We went Halloween night last year. Our first time. We've done
MVMCP twice too.
Anyway, it was crowded to me for a person who goes to WDW off season BUT we knew this going in.
We decided we wanted to be at MK on Halloween for our kids. What else were we going to do on vacation at WDW? Seemed logical. Our DD's were very excited at this idea!
We focused on the Trick or Treating and the parade and photo and fireworks and did a couple of rides too (Haunted Mansion and Goofy's Rollercoaster). Some rides did have long lines when we checked at around 9:00p in Fantasyland. We had already been to MK about 3 or 4 times so this was really just for the Halloween stuff.
We were first in line for the photo right at 7:00p right outside of Liberty Tree Tavern where we ate.
No wait for Haunted Mansion at 7:10p
The lines for trick or treating looked long but went VERY fast. So no worries there.
The fireworks and parade were amazing. Don't miss the headless horseman! We waited for the second parade and got there about 1/2 to 45 minutes early and it was already crowded. At the MVMCP's I've been to the second parade wasn't this crowded but it was manageable anyway. We got a spot which is all that matters.
After the 2nd parade it really died down...everyone was leaving!
All in all we had a great time and are going Halloween night again next year!
Enjoy!
