Here are a few reviews from where we ate on our trip.

Boma - this was amazing! We had eaten here twice before, but I don't remember it being this good! My husband and I particularly enjoyed the falafel, nut crusted salmon and zebra domes. THe soups were outstanding - carrot ginger was my favorite! The salads were great and I love the chile cilantro dressing. We will definitely go back to Boma!!!

1900 Park Fare - dinner - we were SOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed in this buffet. With it costing $27.99 per person, the whole experience was below average. Character interaction was weak and the food was mediocre. We had dined here in 2000 when it was the Villians dinner and it was great! We will NOT be back to 1900.

Liberty Tree Tavern - outstanding! This was our first time here, but not our last. Characters were dressed for Halloween, food was hot and fresh, the rolls and butter were to die for, service was great! All around, an outstanding experience.

Garden Grill - Ice Cream Social - this was a blast! My 2 year old son just loved the huge sundae and the characters were great! Dale even fed my son some of his ice cream. We will definitley do this again!

Crystal Palace - breakfast - very good, but not my favorite. I still like dinner here the best. The food was good, hot and fresh. Lots to choose from. Characters were slow getting to us, and then rushed through, but we still got lots of great pictures. We will go back here, but for dinner.

Rainforest Cafe - lunch - great! We love this place and the food was good and there was lots of it. The salads are huge. My mom and I shared a hamburger and a small caesar salad. Perfect. DH had the crabcake sandwich and my dad had the chicken caesar salad. All was great.

California Grill - YUMMY! Much better than I remembered it. I had the pumpkin lasagne and it was HEAVENLY! DH had the spice rubbed chicken. He said it was ok. He's hard to please. We shared the roasted veggie and hummus flatbread - outstanding! Dessert was the warm valrhona chocolate cake for DH with blackberry sorbet (he's lactose intolerant - no ice cream for him!) and I had the three berries with three creams which was raspberry creme brulee, currant panna cotta and creme caramel with strawberries. This was a great meal and I just love the ambiance of this place!!!

The rest of our meals were counter service. Next trip we're going to try Victoria and Albert's. Can't wait!!!!!!

Thanks for the awesome reviews. I am trying to come up with one or two more PS and your review helped. I have two questions - can you tell me more about the ice cream social? I have a 4 year old DD, 3 year old DS and a 15 month old DS - would they love this?

California Grill - did you guys dress up? What time did you go? Did you see the fireworks at MK?

I think your little ones will love the Ice Cream Social. It's a great way to meet characters without the long dinner/breakfast. Our 2 year old son doesn't like to sit still for too long, so this was perfect. He had his sundae, met Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale and was very well behaved. At some of our other PS's (Boma, 1900) he was antsy and wanted to get up and leave before we were all finished. So the Ice Cream Social is a great way to do a character meal without the problems that "can" occur with younger kids.

For California Grill, our PS was at 9:30pm, but we got there about 8:50pm and were seated within 10 minutes. We could have seen the MK fireworks, but they started just after we got seated and we were able to see Illuminations somewhat from our seats. But our server did let us know about the MK fireworks. We sort-of got dressed up. I wore capris and a v-neck top and DH wore khaki shorts and a collared shirt. We hadn't prepared for this meal ahead of time. We actually called the night of to make the PS. But I didn't feel underdressed. Some people were dressed up, but not as dressed up as Victoria and Albert's. We were going to try to go to Citricos, but I would have felt underdressed there.

Anyway, I hope this helps. Have fun planning!!!

I have another question - I just made ressies for 9:10 p.m. and realized afterwords all the fireworks will be over by then! Duh! We are going Friday December 10. Any suggestions on a time we would be able to view the fireworks?

Thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed most of your meals!

We are trying Liberty Tree for the first time this trip - so thanks for the review!!!

I am also thinking about trying to squeeze in the ice cream social. Is this something you need a ps for or do you think we can walk in?

Thanks!

.... forgot to mention that we also had a disappointing experience at 1900 Park Fare - both with the character interaction and with the food. I am sorry to hear they haven't improved. Oh, well, lots of other great places to try!

Our family was not too impressed with 1900. The food is just okay. The dinner buffet at Chef Mickey's is so much better. On our last trip, there were many places to meet Cinderella, so this trip we bagged to PS for 1900. I'd rather spend that kind of money on something else the kids will enjoy.

Enjoyed your reviews.

We dined at CG last week too.....on the 20th. I'm guessing you were there later in the week?

Scanne,

Just returned from visiting 10/19-10/26.

I must agree that 1900 Park Faire Dinner was disappointing!!
Great character interaction with Suzy and Perla but the food was substandard for the $$.
Also did the breakfast here. The food was excellent as well as the characters.

We also LOVED Boma. I'm not an adventurous eater but went with an open mind and REALLY enjoyed the food.

Really enjoyed your reviews! So glad to hear a positive take on CG. We will be there again in December and can't wait!
