Ok... 2nd question: some counter service menu options include "side" which are a salad, chili fries, fruit, or cake.
Is any side considered a dessert?

Can you be more specific? I don't think Chili fries are part of any meal. You'd have redeeem a snack credit to get them.

A CS meal will be a beverage, dessert item and an entree OR combo meal.

For example: at Pizza Planet you can get a pizza, beverage and cookie OR
pizza & side salad combo, beverage and cookie for the same CS credit.

For CS you get an entree (or combo), a drink, and a dessert. No side is considered a dessert. If you order a meal combo (i.e. hamburger and fries) it will be listed on the menu as a combo. It if is not listed as a combo, then anything else you order you will pay for OOP. For example, onion rings at Flame Tree BBQ or Figaro fries at Pinochio Village Haus are not considered part of a combo and you would have to pay extra for them or use a snack credit for them. The chili at Casey's is also not part of the combo meal and would be extra. The desserts are listed as desserts on the menu, not sides.
