Some Christmas at Disney tips???

We booked today for next Christmas. we'll be staying at port orleans Riverside. We actually have five in our party, so we got a room with the trundle bed. We're planning on either doing a park on the 23rd or the 24th and spending Christmas day with family. Then another park on the 26th. We did a magic your way package and actually got a good deal. We'll be bringing some gifts, but the trip is the main gift, as we explained to the kids. Is there anything that we can do to make this more magical?? Also, can anyone tell me more about the ver magical Christmas party? Any advice or imput would be welcome!!

I'll be there then also. Can't wait......... my kids are teens so they will understand that the trip is the main gift. I will not be wagging many gifts. I'll be checking back to see if you get any good tips.... I need them also

Make sure to visit the other resorts. There are some spectacular decorations at them - the gingerbread house at GF and the carousel at YC/BC come to mind.

You can have your room decorated or you can decorate it. You will see lights in windows and lots of Christmas trees.

Christmas is a great time to go we have been there several times and always love it!

Christmas is very festive at the world. Here are some ideas:

* Pick up a small, pre-lit tree now while they are on clearance and pack it in your suitcase to decorate your room. You can bring non-breakable ornaments, leave it bare or decorate w/special ornaments you pick up on your trip.

* Definately check out the Osborne Lights at DHS...they are beautiful.

* Consider dining package for Candlelight Processional....this is a very beautiful show (included w/admission at Epcot) and the package avoids the incredibly long, long, long lines....ya gotta eat anyway!

* Beware...you will be tempted to purchase and wear a fun and ridiculous Christmas hat....and wonder what you were thinking when you got home!

* If the weather is nice, grab that chance to swim....it can be unpredictable!

* If you croc and like jibbitz, look for special seasonal jibbitz!
