What has made this board different from all the other "fan" sites is that DIS is one of the few places that actually looks "behind the curtain" and sees how the real magic is made. Other places are content with a thousand posts on everyone's favorite churro cart or twenty pages of what little Johnny thinks would be kEwL to see in 'Beastly Kingdom' - but this is one of the few places where you can actually find out why we won't see 'Beastly Kingdom', to discuss the relience on outdoor vending vs. counter service and all the real issues that make Disney parks run (and where they fall short).

Sure, it's not for everyone; a lot of people don't want their bubble burst. But this is the place for people to find out the "hows", the "whys" and the "should bes" of Disney.

I just looked at the thread in question. Comments:

1. While I realize that this is a private board and that the owner's / mods' power is absolute - which I support - there is something to be said about vigorous & spirited debate. The roles of 'Devil's Advocate' and 'Royal Foole' are very important in making sure that all sides of an issue are seen.

2. Thanks to the mods for NOT having a heavy hand. It's easier to whack all threads with a sledgehammer than carefully wield a scalpel.

3. To the OP: respectfully, lighten up a little. We're not discussing Iraq, abortion or reclining your airplane seat (a moment of silence for the Debate Board .... ), but a theme park ride and a theme park company.
