We will be doing our (almost) annual trip to WDW in June and are trying to decide which BW option to go with this time. BW is our favorite resort and usually stay in a 1BR villa as my daughter is a laundry freak. Having our own WD in the unit is a wonderful convenience as is having a kitchen for breakfasts, etc.

We were thinking of making a change this time and have priced a room in the inn on the BW side (might be fun) and priced club level in the garden suites which are too cute for words!

Anyone have any experience with these options? Where are the laundry rooms in the BW complex and what does it cost to do a load of laundry? Is club (or concierge) worth the extra cost ... we would definitely make use of the breakfast ... must you eat in the "club" or is it permissible to take food back to your cottage?

We will need to decide soon and get things booked (we are driving so no need to worry about airfare). Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated! :)

First of all CL is awesome at the BWI. The CM make it worth the stay. We stayed in the garden suites last Jan. They are cute and have plenty of room. The walk is longer to the lounge but to us that didn't matter. The laundry facilites are located on the 3rd floor right off the elevator. I have been in them but have never used them. We think CL is worth it for us because of the CM. They are family to us. We love sitting in the lounge for breakfast, evening appetizers, then dessert. It is nice to come back in the afternoon and hang in the lounge with cast and veg on snacks and to have a drink. You will get different answers on whether it is worth it or not. You may bring your food and drink back to your room.

I've used the laundry facilities at BW. They area fine, there's a TV in there. You access it with your room key. Like most resorts, the machines eat quarters. I get a $10.00 roll of quarters from the check in desk downstairs. I think the the small box detergent, washing machine and dryer work out to be about $2.00 each.

I keep a very lightweight (empty) smallish nylon duffel bag in the bottom of my suitcase. I put a few dryer sheets in there before I leave so I don't have to buy those. I use the duffel to take laundry down and back to the room. Much faster! I started doing a few loads on vacation to cut down on our luggage weight.
One year I thought I'd really prepare, and I tossed a roll of quarters into my purse before we left for the airport. When my purse when through the scanner, the TSA person nearly had a cow...don't know what he thought it was, but my purse was thoroughly searched. :rotfl:

Definately worth it to us. The Boardwalk is a great resort in itself. Then add on the Innkeepers Lounge and the wonderful castmembers we will not stay anywhere else. Like Nascargirl said, the lounge is fun to get out of the room and hang out to visit. The balconies are fun to relax on in the rooms, especially with the Boardwalk view.:cloud9: The offerings are plenty for us. Some nights we don't make it to the appetizers as we have dinner ADRs quite a few nights instead of eating lunch. We always stay in a deluxe room as we love the Boardwalk view so cannot comment on the cottages but have heard good things about them. You will not be disappointed with concierge:thumbsup2
