Hey

I am planning in going on the fantasy around the carribean and we have picked a midship verandah room but don't do wether to go for deck 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10. Never been on this ship before and just wanted your advice on what deck you would go for

Also

We planned in doing a few nights in Disney world before the cruise and was wondering can I get park tickets for just a few days because i am in uk and it keeps re directing me to Disney holidays and it says I can only purchase a 14 day pass which I don't need

Does anyone no how I can get a ticket for just a few nights for the parks and what site etc that would be on

Thanks for any help given

Gary

Hi Gary. I haven't been on The Fantasy but the ship layout is very like it's sister ship The Dream which we have sailed many times. We like deck 8 but any of those is good. You can buy the Disney tickets at the gate when you get there no problem. That's probably the cheapest option every park has these booths. Magic your way tickets are available at different days so for example 3 or 4 days or whatever you need adding park hopping , water parks if wanted. Or just leaving them as is. I hope this helps.

You could also try an authorized ticket reseller (like Undercover Tourist) to buy just the number of days you need. This would also allow you to book your Fastpass+ in advance rather than day of. HTH

We have had veranda rooms on Deck 8 both times on the Fantasy and have loved them - cat 5c.

We are from the UK and if visiting WDW for just a few days when we haven't wanted a package, we have just googled "magic my way base ticket" and gone from there. We have never bothered with park hopper or other add one as we prefer to stick to 1 park a day and not have the hassle of transferring between them.

Congrats on your cruise Gary! We've been on decks 2, 8, and 9 on Dream/Fantasy and love 8 and 9 and will always be on those in the future. We spend most of our time on 3, 4 and 11 so by staying on decks 8 or 9 we can use the stairs and not the elevators.

So it's sounding like deck 8 most people would go for

That's good I don't need to buy a 2 week park ticket for just a few days then lol

Can someone also tell me

Is there much difference with the obstructed verdenah to the verdenah

And is rooms near the lift ok or or they nosey

Typically, a verandah has flat sides (dividers) and an open view

Sometimes the superstructure of the ship will cut across the view:

These obstructions can be fairly large, or only a small corner.

Don't know about obstructed view, but we had a room straight off the mid ship lifts and there was no noise at all. It was great, no long corridor to walk down and easy to find. We requested the same room next cruise (ended up in the one next to it because we wanted connecting rooms).

So would u say it's best to get a verdanah with no obstructed view or are they not to bad. Don't no what one to go for

It's a few hundred more the normal verdanah

The obstructed verandas are fine. I would get the least expensive one.

I mean are they a big difference

We have never had a verandah before so want a nice first experience with it :)

Are you cruising with children or adults only? If it is just adults, I would recommend forward ship, deck 9 or 10... my girlfriends and I loved room 10016 (on the Dream, Fantasy's sister ship) because it was a few strides away from the stairs that led to the Senses Spa and Quiet Cove (adult pool) one deck above. This location would also work well with children, as you're still just one deck away from the pool area and children are permitted to walk through Quiet Cove.. they just can't swim or lounge in the area.

We have had 8080 and 8082 and loved both - they were cat 5c with no obstructions and we like being mid ship. We had a white wall veranda on our first cruise (Magic) and much prefer the clear plexiglass, but have never seen the obstructions so can't help with that.

Fantasy and Dream exterior cabin #'s posted; http://www.disboards.com/threads/dr...see-the-pictures-index-now-in-post-7.2586763/

Be careful with the forward cat 7a's on deck 5. 5024 and 5524, ie; don't book, avoid, trust me.
The folks next door aft, will look upon your balcony, as their balcony is extended.
And they will/could look upon you, and inside your cabin if desired.
Not a preferred cabin locale.

This cabin is a cat 7a too. Although it is aft facing, and another possible assignment assignment. Although still has an awesome view.
Jump to 2:30 for the balcony.

This specific balcony is the smallest possible assigned in the cat 7a category
