Hi all,

Firstly thanks to every one who posts on this forum i have learnt so so much from reading this forum, (i know i do not post a lot and when i do its normally asking for help)
Last year with all your help we went in sep for an amazing 2 weeks with free dinning, and we loved it and loved free dinning and PORS.

Now i have a little Problem for next year as I can now only going in the school holidays (GF is a teacher)

Was wondering when are the best times to do really loved low crowds and the free dinning?
What is Oct 1/2 term like?End of summer aug?

Thanks every one :thumbsup2

The nearer you get to schools returning in Sept the quieter it gets so if you can go the last 2 weeks of the summer holiday they will be the quietest, US schools start going back earlier in August but they vary a lot more than UK dates. Some people are put off August with the high temps and higher rainfall, expect around 100F most days.
Oct is my fave time to go, lower crowds, cheaper flight prices, halloween events & Food & Wine Festival. Also temps better for most people

Thanks for your reply. Just looked and she only has one week off in oct so not much good. Did think she had 2.
Been in sep and did not mind the heat then (lots of water and afternoon naps)

Can you get free dinning in aug?

Thanks again

i'm not sure about the free dining but i went at the end of august/beginning of september a couple of years ago and the crowds were really manageable and the only place we really felt the heat was at animal kingdom coz theres not as much shade but other than that its an excellent time to go :goodvibes

I thought it was strange you getting 2 weeks in Oct. We have been many Octobers but had to take DS out for 2 weeks to fit in a 3 week trip.

Yes free DDP has been available August for past few years, on co.uk from early August and on .com from mid August. We are doing it this August for 3rd year in a row.

My DD doesn't go back until 6th Sept this year. If your GF is the same then you could go late aug/early sept.

Thanks every one.

Think we will go as late as we can then for late aug erly sep.

Its a great time to go, the crowds might pick up a bit if you're there over labor day weekend but it wasn't too much of a problem for us :thumbsup2
