....with only one day to do the parks and wanting to see and do as much as possible, considering i have never been before. Just looking for some advice/tips on how to get the best out of my one day.
Im hoping to be in the Disneyland park for about 2-3pm and thankfully it not closing till 10pm i'll have a good 7-8 hours :)

Is there usually certain time sof the day that certain 'lands' are less busier? que's for certain rides smaller?

The rides i really want to get on are:

Buzz
Space mountain
Its a small world
Snow white
Pirates of the Carribean
Indiana Jones
Big thunder mountain
Phantom Manor

And of course I want to have a nice look around the castle, see the dragon. See Once upon a dream parade, Fantillusion, Candleabration and hopefully is times allows The lion King & Mickeys Winter wonderland. And of course if there is any time I wouldnt mind meeting a character or two :)

I really have no idea what to expect with regards tot he size of the park as I have only been to WDW Florida before.

So if anyone has any helpful advice/tips for a Disneyland Paris firstimer, with one sunday in the middle of december please post away and if it makes any differance it will just be 2 adults so no kiddles to thin about.

TBH i dont think you will get on ALL of those rides on a sunday in Dec

AND all the parades etc! in the time you have

is there any way you can get to the park for opening ?

its not even so much the time queuing but the moving from land to land, and the crowds of people in general

plus it will be cold, you will want / need regular coffee or hot chocolate breaks!

I agree you will struggle to get on all of the rides you indicated plus parades, shows, castle and dragon, plus lion king and other shows etc...I think it would be difficult to see and do all those things in one day even if it weren't busy. Unfortunately a Sun in December is going to be VERY busy. I think you need to prioritise what is most important to you. Christmas at DLP is wonderful and unlike any of the other Disney parks across the world. If it were me I would focus on the Christmassy shows etc...You could also use the fast passes for the busier rides. I'm just afraid that you will be terribly let down if expecting to do all those things in one day on the weekend during the month of Dec. :goodvibes

Nooo I honestly thought it would be possible to do all those rides and the 2 parades, with some planning and a few fastpasses.
As I said i have never been before so don't now how big the park is, how long it will take to get from one land to another. No chance of getting there for opening as I want to spend a few hours in the Studios park, and thought would be best to do this first :confused3

I your only there a day I would spend it at the main park its much more magical :goodvibes

Have you thought about getting those ebay fastpasses, one of them will allow you to hold an additional fast pass?

Even if you were at the park for opening, I doubt you'd get everything on your list done on a Sunday in December. I'd also skip the Studios and just concentrate on the Disneyland park. See the things that are unique to DLRP like the gallery upstairs in the Castle and the dragon underneath, and watch the parades/shows. Try to ride Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain because they are so different to WDW, you can get fastpasses for both of these. Concentrate on all the Christmassy stuff and anything you don't get time to do ....... well, you'll just have to go back! :)

Agree with posters above, the only thing I'd add is that when we were there late Nov. weekend 2008, I noticed how quiet the park gets after the evening parades. Despite it being incredibly busy right through the day by 8.30 - 9.00 pm Phantom Manor, Buzz Lightyear were both walk ons.
The very best time for the rides of course would be during the Enchanted Candelabration and Fantillusion, but you've said you'd like to see the parades so I'd suggest watching Fantillusion from very near it's start, and then legging it around the park whilst everyone else is still watching.
Hope you have a lovely day. :goodvibes

I agree if you only have one day, definitely concentrate on the main park ! :goodvibes

it will be a tiring day,but you could get to go on most rides then
queues will be shorter maybe if you go on rides during the parades etc ?

but you say you want to see those aswell ?

you could always see / do all the xmassy stuff and a few rides

THEN plan another trip to do everything you missed ;)

xx

My top tip (we went in July - SUPER busy!) watch the day parade from right at the start (up by it's a small world) and then run to Pirates (walk on every dya we did this! Even got a boat to ourselves!!)

im in the same position and going on friday but sat is in the parks. my boyfriend doesn't mind if we don't get on all the rides, for me i just want to be there, and feel the magic and wonder of disney again, just stare at the castle all day :) :cloud9:

but wow i didn't know there was a gallery and dragon at the castle - much better than florida :D hehe

and yaY, is it really open til ten???? :cool1: :goodvibes
