I leave for WDW in 54 days, but I am trying to solve a problem and I hope that you all can help me. When I go on vacation I suffer with scrapbooking withdrawal!

In fact, one of the highlights from my last trip was decorating a velcro frog at Innoventions because I felt like I got to MAKE something.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem and/or what they do?

I am thinking about bringing a little something to work on at night or on those days when we get tired out early. Your thoughts?

And now I have shared with you some of my crafting crazy. :) I hope that you can understand!

I guess you'll be taking a digital camera?:rolleyes1 Take along a notebook, and make notes for your scrapbook/trip report at the front, at the back make a note of photos you've already taken and are COMPLETELY happy with (save you having to choose between 15 photos of the castle;) ), and possible do some sketches of different pages, with a note of what photo goes where.

I did this on a short break (not Disney) where I had quite a lot of "sitting while the kids play" time and my pages went together really quick when I got home, and I didn't need to haul along a load of stuff:thumbsup2

Do you collect things while at Disney? Autographs, pressed pennies, maps, napkins?

What about taking some zip lock bags to organize your memorabilia each night.

You could also take some journalling blocks and pens and do your journalling while everything is still fresh in your mind. Then slip it in the memorabilia bag from that day

If you do autographs you could decorate each with a sticker or die cut frame each night.

I bring small swap items and the adhesive I need to put them together. i will bring pp that are all cut so i just have to glue them together or such. of course we drive so it isn't that big a deal to add in a small bag with scrapping stuff.

Whew! thought i was the only one. i bring along a few things to work on. mostly more pages to add to the autograph albums and such. I also organize my memorbillia and bring my laptop to start going through pics. I dont usually have a lot of down time since are kids are still small and its takes forever to get them to calm down and get ready for bed. :headache:

I also get my "fix" by finding stuff to scrap with there. and then i just sit and look at it. :) Kind of like at home.

When we drive, I take my basic crop supply kit and a project.

Tomorrow, however, I fly south for a month, and am taking . . . NOTHING!

The rational is - if I have my paper scrap stuff, that is what gets done - and I have resolved that this trip, I *will* start writing my family stories with the goal of one a week this year AND I *will* learn to use photoshop elements for more than resizing photos. Therefore, I'm removing the temptation to play with paper!

bring a notebook to design sketches. Or jot down ideas for embellishments or colors when taking photos.
I second the journalling too. Buy a bunch of postcards and use those for your journalling pages.
