hey Everyone,

Sorry to start off a new thread and create more clutter but this is for any bride that feels like her fiance isn't really into the wedding planning

Buy the Knot book:the complete guide to wedding on the real world - buy it from half.com for 5 bucks

My Fiance LOVES it. I bought that and Bridal Bargains for cheap in half.com (havent gotten the latter book) and my fiance has been reading it ever since-even drags it with him in the car (hes mostly on the road throughout the day in his car and has to wait sometimes on his clients

I thought the book had mostly information I already know, but turns out most of this is all knew for the groom

he's been sitting on the couch next to me and saying it says here we word our invitations this way.... I didn't know I get a cake! There's groom's cake? Did you know that only the bride wear white to a wedding?
Ins't that so cute!

I know we all know this stuff but I guess we take for granted that they know it too - everyday he tell me more 'trivia'

Definitely buy it for him its cheap on half.com no reason to spend 20 bucks.

I think it helps them understand everything and then they know what they are talking about so they got talk about it more comfortably

Just my thoughts and my suggestions!

My DF is not at all into details. I thought that I would try and get him somewhat interested, and bought him a grooms survival guide book. I shipped it to him, and he was giving the impression of "well you pretty much wasted your money because I am not interested". I am hoping that he might get bored and actually pick it up and read it. I really hope it works. I am glad to know that it did for somebody out there.

My DH was "so-so" into the planning process-- he liked to go over the paperwork with me (thats mainly just his financial conscious talking though), and he liked reviewing some things like--- well CAKE. I know for certain I would never be able to get him to pick up a book-- unless its a picture book. HEY!! Maybe thats what they need!! A good ole grooms-how-to guide wedding picture book.

My fiance has two concerns: food and money. He voiced opinions on cake flavors (not appearance) and welcome/reception dinner, and if I mention anything else his response is "how much will this cost?" or "how much extra?" He did request we stay a couple of nights at either AKL or Poly. Oh, and he would like us to eat at Biergarten (he loved it there :confused3 ) I thought it was okay, but no compare to Ohana's or Chef Mickey's (where we having our Welcome & farewell dinners). I think we may have Thanksgiving dinner there b/c they have a special turkey dinner. Errr. Maybe I'll look into this book!
