Have any solos ever done the character dinner at LTT? I've done character meals, that's not my concern, but I've never done one served "Family style" when I've been a "family" of one. Do they still bring everything out in bowls and volunteeer to refill? Or since you're just one person, did they serve your food on your plate? How easy is it to get food refilled for one at a family style meal?

Hi Simbas Mom:) This is where I ate my 1st solo dinner on my very 1st solo trip! I was very nervous and felt so out of place for the 1st few minutes...then the characters all came around and spent lots of time, even "joining me" at my table:goodvibes It was my favourite meal experience that trip, and put me right at ease. The service I had at LTT was great. The food is still brought out in bowls, and you can still ask for more of anything you want. My server was great , I was definately not ignored, and she also offered to take pics of me with the characters. I would recommend LTT :thumbsup2

I went last year at Halloween, and i got great service. My experience with my food....everything was on a plate for me, except the salad, that came in a bowl. And he said if i wanted seconds i could tell him what i wanted. Unfortunatly that didnt happen, because the first night i wasnt feeling so well, and i actually barely ate.... but other than the great service, the characters also paid alot attention to me as well. It was funny because here i was eating in a pirates costume, and i had my hat on the table, then Chip (I think) that came and played with it (i always get them confused)! It was a great experience!

I almost chickened out at the last moment, because there were alot of families, but i'm glad i didnt!!

Thanks, it sounds good! Katypop, I'm so impressed-a character meal for the very first solo dining experience-way to jump right in there! It took me about 7 solo trips before I got up the courage to do a character meal solo (come to think of it, it was right after we ate together!). It really surprised me how much fun it is to do a character meal solo.

I was the same way until a CM told me to remember that chip has a black nose like a chocolate chip.

DW was that way too until one time we were eating at LTT and Chip was there, DW didn't know and said so out loud and this cute little girl (6 yo) had wandered over from a nearby table and said 'Chip is the one with the chocolate chip nose!!!'. Chip then patted the girl on the head and pointed at his nose!

Funny how courageous I am at disney, I still won't go to a restaurant here at home solo:confused:
