Solo trip to MNVSHP?

Hi!
I've never been to WDW solo, and really want to see the Halloween decorations- just wondering if anyone here has done the Halloween Party solo? If so, did you feel a little left out being there by yourself?
If I do this solo trip, it would be at the end of September to take advantage of the low airfares and room rates at that time.
ALso wondering what kind of activities there are at the party that I could enjoy as a solo traveler?

I am really on the fence about doing this, so would appreciate any input!

I did it last year for the very first time and LOVED IT!! I got to the park early (the party doesn't really start until 7) and stayed until closing. I trick or treated, had pictures taken with characters, rode rides and took pictures of everything! not once did I feel out of place or awkward so make the trip down, get dressed up, do all those things that you wouldn't do and have fun. I loved it so much that I'm planning to go again this year

No not at all, I didn't dress up but wore my tiara all night and it was great.

I did MVMCP solo last year and had a wonderful time.

I really want to try MNSSHP solo next. I did it with my family and saw plenty of folks not in costume.

I did MNSSHP at DL last year solo and I didn't feel out of place at all. It was well worth the extra cost! I absolutely loved it(especially the Halloween Screams fireworks) and I'm trying to save up some money to do it again this year!

You will have so much fun! I went solo for the first time last year, and stayed until the end! I went trick or treating; had lots of great pictures made; watched the parade; and rode my favorite rides. Hint: Get in line early for pictures with the Seven Dwarfs (no autographs)!

Of course!! I dress up every year and its a blast! Most everybody dresses up, not just kids, adults too. It was pretty cool bc last year a group of friends and I went as the ghostbusters, and our costumes were perfect. Tons of people were asking if they could take their pictures with us(which i could never turn down)and it was really fun!

I've been several times, once solo, and you'll be fine. I never dress up -- even on Halloween itself I wouldn't say even half the adults do. It also tends to be so hot (or at least warm enough early in the evening) that adults and kids seem to have half a costume on by mid-evening. So if you choose to wear one, go light! A good compromise is a wilder than normal t shirt or hat or tiara or something.

The best part is that the littlest party goers tend to disappear after the first parade/fireworks. The parties are when I ride rides I never get close to any other time -- Dumbo, the race track thing, etc. It can seem quite deserted after 11 pm and you can walk onto just about everything. You don't have to feel self conscious about trick or treating, either -- I waited until most of the kids had gone home, then just stopped by whenever I passed a candy person with no line. Ended up with quite a haul to take back to the room and snack on the rest of the week.

My favorite part is the spooky music and lady's voice as the park closes and you make your way to the gates. Creeepy!
