Anyone have any suggestions for the food and wine 5 k (jungle jingle) as a solo traveler. Thinking of staying in pop century.

Well, they are so many places to eat especially during the food and wine festival. It's all a matter of taste, nevertheless my favorite place to eat is Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge and I typically visit this restaurant to fuel up before any races (I'll be doing the Wine & Dine half marathon) and for breakfast before I head home. As far as places to stay, well I am a DVC owner so I prefer the deluxe resorts and during the W&D race weekend my favorite place to stay is at Boardwalk or Beach Club because of there proximity to the race finishing line.

I stayed at Pop Century during the Food and Wine race weekend before although I did not run the race that time I saw all the people running it there and I was green with envy. A lot of runners choose Pop Century because it is close to ESPN world of sports. You could actually hear the fireworks from the race start at Pop Century. Pop Century would be a great place to stay!

Is Pop Century really the best place to do a runDisney event? What about the All Stars Resorts?

Both Pop Century and All Stars Resorts are both fine but are they the best is a matter of preference. The key thing you want to remember is staying at "host" race resort to ensure that you have transportation to/from the expo and race. Typically I believe that both these resorts are "host" resorts so you will be okay.

As I had mentioned previously I prefer Boardwalk or Beach Club because they are within walking distance to the race start/finish and the other amenities I prefer.

Thank you for the information!

Loved staying in boardwalk. (Went with a cast member).. Would like to stay again but alas, solo budget doesn't allow me to splurge. I am hardly at the room anyway and do want to see AofA while I am down there too
