Saturday 5/10 -- Arrive around 1:45. I want to *try* and hit DCA to at least see Aladdin and then the Electrical Parade. I'll probably be very jet-lagged and tired but knowing me and my Disney love, I'll hit a park anyway. I do expect it to be fairly busy as it is Mother's Day weekend.

Sunday 5/11 -- I'll probably park-hop today. I'll just wing it and see what happens. I'll probably hit Disneyland first, at rope drop and stay until mid-afternoon and then I'll hop to DCA and probably walk around DTD. I'll probably spend more time photo taking and exploring, as Monday and Tuesday are planned out days for Disneyland and DCA.

Monday 5/12 -- I'm going to attempt a lazy, casual day at DCA. Picture taking, eating and not really trying to rush. A planned day. I'll probably be here half of the day, return to my room for a nap and possibly park hop to Disneyland, although I'll probably just stay in my room to catch up on some sleep. We'll see.

Tuesday 5/13 -- A full, planned day in Disneyland. Majorly planned, lol.

Wednesday 5/14 -- Flight out. My plane doesn't leave until 5:30 so I'm tempted to park hop one last night. We'll see how tired I am by the end of my stay.

Any tips, suggestions? I'm already planning on using Ridemax for Monday and Tuesday and using it roughly for my "park-hopping and lazy days".

I will be going solo, so any dining tips? Any solo stuff you can suggest?

Howdy...

Is this your first trip to Disneyland? I get to Disneyland more often than WDW since I'm on the west coast. So I often go solo. I love it there. I find I'm a whole lot more relaxed on the solo trips since I only have to please myself and don't have to play tourguide. I love doing that sometimes, but not all the time. If you haven't been to Disneyland before, you'll find it a much different experience. It's smaller and just has a different feel than the parks at WDW. Not better or worse, just very different. You should have plenty of time to see everything that you want, since everything is close. I find alot of time at WDW is used up in transportation.

My favorite restaurant is the Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian. I've always had a great experience there. And I've dined there solo. Also, I'd say the Blue Bayou is a must. It is expensive and the food is just OK, but the experience and environment is one of a kind. I also like Wine Country Trattoria in DCA. Good food at very good prices for a sit down restaurant in the park. I also always go to the Carnation Cafe at DL for lunch. If you go, make a reservation. I don't think many people do for this restaurant, but the standby line gets pretty long during certain peak times. If you're looking for a quick meal that is just OK, the PCH Grill at the PP Hotel is good. One time, there was a 2 hour wait for a table at the ESPN restaurant. So I went to the PCH Grill, and there was no wait at all for dinner. So keep that in mind in case other restaurants are busy.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I hoep you have a great time. I leave for a DL trip on Sunday!

Thanks for the dining tips!

Yes, it is my first trip to Disneyland. I'm a WDWer, considering I only live about 2 hours away, I take many day trips and even solo four/five day trips.

I'm super excited about going. I wasn't supposed to be going solo but I have no issues going solo, I enjoy it a lot. It surprises people, but solo really isn't that bad.
